» Fri May 27, 2011 8:47 am After searching and searching I've failed to find this old thread and I'm willing to bet it's been removed or archived or bronzed or whatever it is they do with very old threads. So now I'm looking for others who may remember this very creative concept.
The thread was an RP thread concerning the uprising of the individual counties after the completion of the MQ. It died (which, it grieves me to say, I'm partly responsible for) before its time and I would love to see it come up again for players and RPers to enjoy once more.
If nobody can point me to the original thread then I'll endeavor to recreate, as well as modify, the original concept as best I can. Also, if the OP of that thread sees this, I ask permission to, in effect, resurrect your idea and hope you'll join me in doing so.
If you're interested in playing along, please post something here either an affirmation of interest or a character concept. To that end I'll tell a little bit about it;
The Emporer is dead, his heirs assassinated, and the only living member of the Septim line has become a martyr in the war against Mehrunes Dagon and the Mythic Dawn. A decade has passed since the Oblivion Crisis and, though Oblivion can no longer threaten Cyrodiil, a struggle for power has erupted between the counts and counties. Kvatch has been rebuilt but now faces the forces of the ambitious Janus Hassildor and the County of Skingrad. Count Savlian Matius has called for help from Ocata in hopes that a Legion intervention will turn the tides of the battle before Kvatch, once again, finds itself conquered by an invading army. With Hassildor, clad in ebony armor and flanked by his royal guard, on the battlefield, Kvatch will fall before help can arrive. Old alliances and new have been recalled and reforged, sending the capital of the Empire into dangerous Civil War.
Alliances: Kvatch, Bruma, and Anvil are still loyal to the Empire while Skingrad is in open rebellion. Leyawin has adopted an anti-imperial, isolationist attitude but Cheydinhal remains neutral.
So far: The Skingrad Army stands outside the besieged gates of Kvatch as ominously as the open gate to the hellish realm of Oblivion once stood roughly ten years prior. Count Savlian Matius, standing upon the walls of the rebuilt city, surveys the scene below and watches as his forces fight desperately. With the warriors engaged in melee combat, the archers lining the battlement can only watch their comrades below while the battle rages, both sides fully commited and, for a few brief moments, it appears that the defenders will be victorious in defending their homes this time. That moment of exultation passes quickly and even Savlian's face shows signs of dread as an ebony armored Count Hassildor seems to materialize at the head of the Skingrad line at dusk, on either side of him stands his infamous Royal Guard also clad in dark ebony and ready to enter the crimson fray.

Class: (If unique, specify focus and major skills please)
Affiliation: (County, Region, etc)
Short Description and/or Bio: (Creativity Encouraged, however, please keep it believable. No daedric princes or all powerful Champions of the Divines or Champions of Cyrodiil. The CoC marches with the Legion)
Also: Try to include an equipment set. Daedric armor is prohibited (though summoned is fair game) and all equipment should be vanilla. For fun, Morrowind items are more than acceptable.
Remember: Vanilla items and races only! (For the sake of clarity)
