Skyrim breaks up both of the words, and each consonant is quite distinct from the other - it pretty much represents the entire title of the game, whereas SK is kind of awkward to read.
Finally after years of waiting and wishing, Bethesda has announced the next installment in the Elder Scrolls series. I haven't been in such high spirits in a long time, and many of you are the same - so begins a new age of relentless forum speculation and overanolyzing trailers. Just in time for the holidays, too. But there's just one issue which has left me ruminative:
How are we going to abbreviate Skyrim? SK, SY, SR, SI (taken), SM (hot)
I call the continental Elder Scrolls naming summit to order! :celebration:
Ill just call it the hairy ugly guys game or hugg for short...god are nords ugly!
That is what I think I will do anyway. Because everyone will know which one I am speaking of without all the TESV:SK or TESV:SR. One less character to type and identifies it right away as to which TES I am talking about.
Skyrim is such a long word.. Very hard to write out Skyrim. Ouch my fingers hurt from writing skyrim thrice in one post. However will we make the word shorter?
SR definitely makes more sense, but SK seems to instantly identify with Skyrim to me for some reason, while I have to think about what SR is for a split second. So I don't know which to support or endorse.
