Use constructive critics

Use constructive critics instead of just call them idiots, ****, and you name it.
Most of the topics here i would have deleted if i was a crytek member, people just throwing bad words all over the place instead of using a advlt language in a good manner and just tell them what they should have done or making some in a patch or so.

I really dont think this gives crytek stab the interest to fix when all they get is crap in a very childish way.
Some topic do try to say in a good way and its good, please think abit before then add the good things and the bad and maybe some ideas.

My pros on the game!
Runs great on an older machine.
Looks really good.
Great singel play.
Great multi

My Cons are.
Missing Dx 11
More graphic settings
Add a anticheat prg(yes i know they work on it)
Fix the bugs/glitches that you find in the forums(some they already work on)

And crytek i have faith for and honesthly believe you will fix the game.
And also tanx for a great game, even if there is some things to fix;-)

maybe for crysis 3, they will have in mind all the user comments around here. Right now it is pointless to add dx11 to crysis 2. Better look for the future :-)

I'm really tired of the game beeing so full of bug and missing features and all.
But the more i lurk these forums to try and find a solution, the more i'm beeing tired of all the whiny biches making threads all day long about things already stated, discussed and under investigation by Crytek.

Crytek should just lock all the forums for a moment, untill the masses calm the f*ck down, and we can start constructive discussions again.
I still wonder how i could find your thread in all this mess of multiple identical threads.

TO be fair, there would be less rage-threads if the game weren't so rage-inducing by it's nature.

Crytek has themselves to blame.

This is entirely their fault. We have to rights to complain as WE bought the product. I dont want to hate on them much as this game has the POTENTIAL to be one of the best games but seriously right now its just a pile of ****

Sure you have , but just to add bad words and talking just alot of bull is the thing i dont like.
As i said tell them the problems without fould mouth.
How can crytek sort all these threads and get something good out of it when there is so much crap.
Best thing is to calm a bit and think before attacking them, maybe some good words and some usefull info can be seen by them.

This release is far from 'gentle' or 'constructive'. You can bet even the more mannered people are on the edge.

I thought Crytek the greatest dev so far, for FC and C1. Tried the demo, forgave *A WHOLE LOT*. Kept my faith for at least semi-playable experience, and bought the game to support my favorite dev. Even still this release turned everything upside down. Maybe I am twice as angry because my respect for this company fell from such a height.

Dude they dont even acknowledge problems with MP. They only ever respond to threads with are potential fixes by other people, which is THEIR job to fix not ours. Im just pissed at how they act like they dont even care. I do think they are working hard but seriously they at least need to make an announcement telling us and not make false promises.

who cares if they are bad words? there has been zero difference between a well constructed thread, and a rage thread, that talks about the exact same issues, in terms of dev response.

The problems are out there. The devs dont have to sort through pages of threads to find them. The issues are glaringly obvious and have been talked about 10000 times already. People just rage now instead of putting something more 'well mannered' because people are frustrated with the lack of crytek response and really dont care enough to filter out their legitimate frustration from their posts.

**** crytek.

Making thousands of threads complaining about cheater ain't gonna make the things faster. Why nobody use even the search function to post their 2 cents on an already existing thread? I bet lots of them are underage and should not even play the game.
As i said, all the forums is now a complete mess where you can't find usefull or interesting topics, let alone have constructive discussions.

+100000000 to the OP. This is what people need to do rather than rage or imply/state false facts or supposed yet invalid "evidences" with either improper or unbalanced factors.

And I also share the same pros and cons as the OP, interesting enough. MAXIMUM PATIENCE activated.

EA delays Crysis 2. Crytek adds more stuff that's cool due to this. More stuff=more polishing to remove bugs. Release date to close. EA will not delay again and does not care to because Crysis 2 is their March 2011 quarter 1 financial sales. Crytek releases an unfinished Crysis 2 on all platforms, where not only PC gamers but console gamers have issues needing to be fixed.

Doesn't seem like it's entirely their fault to me -_-"

Also to add to that, Crytek is now fixing the issues needing to be fixed and are working on features needing to be added.

I admire your stubbornness. Almost makes me wish I can believe that everything what could be potentially wrong with Crysis 2 will be fixed in a span of 6 month. Almost.

Thought I still wish they didnt had to fix the issues and instead devout maximum manpower to making a new game.

what kind of an idiot are you? Really.

Sure is constructive post in there...

I had a lot of experience of games beeing completly fixed in 6 month, and even granted a "new release".

Unreal Tournament 3 : the black edition almost gave PC players what they were expecting, in terms of content (tha games already had a lot, but less than its predecessor), in terms of settings (like all video settings for a PC game) and in terms of bug fixes. This gave a totally new release on Steam for exemple.

Shattered Horizon : in a year, from this small game dev studio, the content was doubled, lots of bugs were fixed and a single player mode was added with AI. This game is perfect now for $20. I just ignore the part where it has no players, but that's another story, because it got bad reviews on release due to its small content, and games are not reviewed twice. It was released in retail stores way after initial release.

Wipeout HD : game was criticized for its lack of original content. Game patches were out every month or so to improve netcode and fix bugs. The Fury update (with 50%+ more content) made it a new game, with a retail release too, which means the game was then considered 100% finished...

Look at what Valve can do on their games too. Post-release developpement for satisfaction of players are their motivation.

Common factor for these games : a constructive community, with well organized forums; the complete opposite of here, where insults take over real information. Look at the number of threads on the PC part only, this is completly stupid. This place is no comparison with Epic's board, Steam community forums, Wipeout Arena, and Futuremark's Yougamer forums. I'm just raging not from the game, but from what i see here.

I could find more exemple of why we shouldn't be that angry, when it's clearly stated that the developpers are not letting down, not so soon.
If it's still at that stage on summer, i would understand then. But now, we got to chill and wait. It's in Crytek's hands.

The problem with the rage and the repeat post has to do with crytek's silence more than anything else. Crytek has to have about the worse pr and community managers of any gaming company that makes AAA titles.

If crytek just manned up and basically addressed its customer's issues and informed them what was going on and what can be expected as an outcome, I bet at least 50% of these rage post and repeat post will go away.

But on the other hand they can just do nothing and basically the rage and repeat post will go away but they will lose potential customers for whatever there next game is.

I don't know what the piracy rate is for crysis 2, but I do know that the piracy rate for crysis 3 will be ridiculous and that will be mainly due to customers who bought crysis 2, whom felt that crytek screwed them over.

As the above posters says, constructive criticsm is somewhat difficult when the official contacts on this board state that a patch will be out last week then refuse to provide any kind of explaination when that date is missed.

I write software for a living so I'm fully aware the deadlines get missed, but stating that something will happen by a specific date, missing that deadline and then not saying even a word of apology or explanation is frankly holding your customers in contempt.

So we agree it's just bad communication. I guess the teams are very overwhelmed already...

That's why you need to have seperate people handling communication on the forums, so the dev team can knuckle down to coding and testing without cutting off communication with the user community.

Things go wrong, it's a fact of life, but you need to talk to the people affected by the problem and give them as much information as you can if you want to keep users onside.

nah, don't worry about crysis 3 on pc. the next installment in crysis will be console exclusive :P

joking aside i'm agree with OP. but as someone point it out above crytek is part to be blame for all the MAXIMUM rage coming from the community
