Useful Assassin Spells

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 5:40 pm

I'm looking to do an Assassin build next character, but I want to use magic spells to enhance my gameplay. My usual playthrough is the warrior (sword n board) and the aggressive archer. I've never attempted to finish the Dark Brotherhood quests, nor have I really got into the College quests, cause I just don't do those type of characters.

Anyway, I want an Assassin - but I DO NOT want to use a bow. I want to use dual daggers. Sneak up on my targets, assassinate with one hit, and get out as quickly as I can.

What non-offensive spells would be useful? Nothing like flames or ice, cause the only way I want to kill someone is by assassination with daggers. You know, some illusion type of stuff, melding with shadows, invisibility, distractions, teleporting, or whatever type of stuff they got in the game.

Also, how can I guarantee a killcam for every assassination?

If you go up on the sneak tree high enough you can get a 15x damage with daggers if your sneaking. Couple this with the 1h perks and you gotta a good asasian.

Go to the Shadow Stone, that gives you a once a day long term invisibility.

None offensive spells...fear would be a good one to make enemies retreat so you can go hide, im not a expert in magery but the illusion and conjuration tree would be good for your type.

Muffle
Invisibility
Paralyze

maybe Fear and Frenzy... but I don't like them very much.

Why Conjuration? I don't want to summon anything. Illusion would be a good tree.

I forgot to ask: where do I get more (good) spells from? Sounds stupid I know, but you don't really find spell books as often as you find warrior/archer weaponry. Just buy it from Pawn Shops on the game or do I need to get access to the College...?

Muffle

This is a great one for your build. I almost forgot about that.

Well I mean if your in a fight with a bunch more guys surrounding you and you dont want a follower to be clanking around having a Antroch as a back up plan is a good idea.

and for yoru latter qestion, The College, general stores and the official town mage or w/e the hell their called.

Oh, I understand better Chris. Sorry I sounded like an ass.

Also, I have watched Ninja Assassin recently, and those ninja's melded with the shadows and became part of the shadow and moved in it and I liked that idea.

I just thought it'd be cool rolling around, killcaming everyone in quick succession and no one ever see me. A shame you don't get similar stealth bonuses for the Katana's in-game, that's what I had planned on using.

I wish tanato's and shurikens were in-game as well.

Its fine, im just pointing out that when your surrounded by bandits, Dragur etc and your character is built for sneak attacks your gonna want an ally. Be prepared for you stealth to fail and having hordes of bandits pile on you.

I also suggest light armor with enchantments that increase sneak.
