User guilds and factions

I don't undestand the limitations between guilds who can have every races into and factions wich restrict 3 races.

My problem, In a guild we have a lot of players, some like lore, some are minimaxers, some want cute avatar.

And of course every one want to play with other guildmates

As far as I undestood, we have to choose the same faction if we want to play together, because every faction start in different zone.

The problem then is we can't choose the race we want because of the faction link.

Why choose something like that, in every Elder's scroll we play outcast, choosing the way we want to play, why here we have to choose only between 3 race to play with our friends.

Why the faction is not a choice at the end of the tutorial when leaving the prison. It will save guilds officers a lot of trouble.

Life is about choices and compromises, relationships in life especially so. As such, you have decide what you most want: to play the class you want or to play with your friends. If this is the toughest decision you have had to face, I envy you.

It's how they have designed the game, they made the decision years ago and it's not changing any time soon.

They only allow every race to join a guild so that a player can make an alternate character in another faction and still be able to chat with his guild incase they need him to get on his main character for something like heading to Cyrodiil to protect your guild keep if its under attack.

Was it lotro that allowed some races to be good or evil? Like you could be a good hobbit or an evil hobbit. I thought ZoS would have done something like that. Not necessarily good and evil. But choosing a faction with every race.
I wasn't too bothered when they announced the current setup, and I'm actually really happy and excited that you can now do all faction quest zones with just one character.

No, in LOTRO you chose evil classes for pvp only. This was actually pretty good because it meant there were no factions for PvE purposes, though I don't know how effective PvP was in the game.

It would have made a lot more sense if Zos would have let us choose a race AND a faction, that's just not how it worked out, so we will have to make do. But I really like all of the races in the ebonheart pact so I'm fine.
