using CS to create new dialogue?

So I got the CS v. 1.0 and then the patch to 1.2 (so I could have the whole lip sync thing), and I'm a bit confused as to creating new Dialogue. I know how to create the text, and set their facial expressions etc etc, but I dont know how to use voice audio files. I don't want to record a new voice with my microphone, I just want to use the original voices that are already in the game and lip sync the dialogue I choose for my new NPC, but this is confusing because when I click on configure (the only option available) it just says "Capture Device: Primary Sound Capture Driver; Aux; Line In; Microphone. Anyone who can explain this to me please do :(

Umm... If you want to use the Vanilla voice files, why not just copy/paste both the voice files and the .lip files? Just rename them then to match the ones in your mod. Be sure to have them in the right folder.

If you're creating new lines of dialog that the original voice actors didn't record, then you have two choices. One is to record another person's voice that sounds similar, and the other is to use an audio editor to cut and paste pieces of the voice files. There's a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19546 that helps you search for words and phrases in the existing dialog, and pulls out the corresponding voice files into your editor, but of course it can't help with words that aren't there, like the names of your new NPC's. Eyja's dialog in Madmole's mod was done that way, stealing phrases from various other NPC's (I noticed Signy, and Else God-hater contibuted) but having only one character to voice made the task a bit easier. I don't think the ODDC utility was available then, so the search must have been done the hard way.
