using keys as variables ingame

Post » Thu May 13, 2010 5:19 am

it was brought to my attention that my Change your stance mod conflicts with vampire realism mods because of the sneak key. In an effort to correct this problem I've decided to try to find a new way to change the stance n the weapon. so the question is, are there any other keys/actions that could act as variables such as sneak, or is sneak exclusive in this sense? also i would be willing to venture into the realm of MWSE for this functionality.

If you don't want to use MWSE I would consider using a spell.

You could look through MWSFD or just download a mod that has scripted spells and look at the scripts for that.

I cannot remember the exact functions offhand, it is far too long since I have last used them. However it is as simple as using a global script to check for the spell being active (i.e. effecting the player) and, removing the spell and doing what you want.
