Hi folks,

I have Oblivion GOTY and I'm only using 2 patches:

Unofficial Oblivion patch

Unofficial Shivering Isles patch

I play the game fine but after I exit to desktop, I get an error which says "Oblivion stopped working"......What The Heck is going on?

Can anyone assist me in this matter please?

Very common problem, which becomes even more common as more mods are installed. It's a nuisance, but the only real problem when that happens is that changes you've made to settings don't get written to the ini -- you can open the console and use the saveini command to force a write to the ini before quitting the game, if you've made changes.

There is a mod fix called http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22410, but it requires OBSE. It works great, though.

What is OBSE?
I went to TES nexus and I can't find it.
