Using six appeal to sell

Post » Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:53 am

Please gamesas, if there is one lesson we learn from gamesas 1.0, it's not what to do.
Almost every company out there uses six appeal to sell.
One need not look further than Diablo II splash screen to the the blonde chick warrior.
However, we believe that gamesas 1.0 went too far with the six thing.
I recall a nvde shower scene in Messiah and the likes.
In fact, Messiah even sports a few different prosttute models.
And, Giants: Citizen Kabuto's nymph-like creature borders on pormography.
It's okay to use six appeal.
However, I am not suggesting gamesas 2.0 to imitate Blizzard,
but please be classy about using six appeal in all your future games
so that you are at least on par with Blizzard in terms of class.
And by definition classy is define as not debasing women like how your former
shadow did with Messiah.

Thank you.

Think he′s forgetting you can be porm star in fallout 2 "gigolo" (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gigolo) and I don't agree with you fallout is for mature gamers and we don't want it censored like fallout 3 did with them hokers ! lets learn from there mistake and bring back "kama sutra" (For those who don't know that's skill http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Kama_Sutra_Master ) Image

haha it does seem to be a popular tactic and possibly more so in the RPG and MMO worlds.

Don't forget the freedom to shoot kids.

Honestly, the things people pick out of a game instead of the obvious ones.

it's how you implement it, whatever sixual references were in Fallout and Fallout 2 were done in style. Old school style. Something that you don't find in modern time games.

Humm- Sort of along the lines of a post over at Mortal Online.

Mortal has full nudity, some one posted in the forums that he did not like it because his 4 year old kid likes to sit and watch daddy play games. Daddy did not want to have to explain why this person has this bit sticking out here and that person has bits there... The sick sad part of this LONG post was that the dude dd not care if his kid saw people getting stabbed to death and body parts flying around- he said "well its only a game and easy to explaine" but he did not want to have to explaine the human body to his kid...

It's all about how you do it...

Every female NPC should not be built like porm star and we don't need zones of noob toons running around naked.... but if I walk into the local establishment in some outlaw town in this post-Apocolyptic world and see the dancing girls on stage in bikinis or 1-piece suits.... I'm walking right out!
