Using SkyRe

Post » Tue Sep 03, 2013 6:14 pm

Im new to Skyrim modding. I'm really looking into using Skyrim Redone.

Acouple of questions.

If I want to use immersive armors and SkyRe, how would I do that, can I do that? I think I would use the recop right? What are the steps to do it right, what load order?

Sorry for the questions run on.

Frostfall is workable with SkyRe right?

But, it seems like a lot of other mods arent, though weapons and armors can be fixed with recop.

Anyone who uses SkyRe, what are some good mods that do work with it?

Does new land mods, like moonpath to eslywer and Faskeer work?

Unoffical Patches?

This may be a stupid question, but the FWE for fallout 3 had this issue.

Does it work fully with a controller?

Just about everything works with SkyRe. Reproccer handles all of the balancing of mod added items. Since you're new to modding, trying to use a big overhaul can get over your head a bit, but if you're willing to read, then here is what I suggest:

1. Get BOSS, Wrye Bash, and Mod Manager or NMM or whatever you want to use to install your mods (wrye bash can install mods too, but most mods are NMM ready)

2. the mods you specified (unofficial patches, land mods, immersive armors, frostfall etc etc. all work with SkyRe, simply install all of them

3. Use BOSS to correct your load order

4. Use Wrye Bash's bashed patch feature - rebuild bashed patch (this requires some reading)

5. Run Reproccer

I don't actually know about the controller, as I only play with mouse and kb.

Oh and, you will need SKSE, a required plugin by many mods (frostfall, SkyRe etc.)

Almost every one of your questions will be answered in the mod's description page or within the first 10 discussion pages. Don't forget the Unofficial SkyRe patch as well.

Not sure what issue you had with the controller and FWE. I use a controller for them both and it works fine. Then there's the added bonus of tweaking the INI file to allow 8 hotkeys. I add another level of personalization with the use of Xpadder. It allows for multi-tap functionality for a variety of control functions.

Does the bash patch go above reproccer in the load order before you run it?

The Reproccer goes below the Bashed patch. Get your Bash Patch set up first. When that's done, run your Reproccer so that the Reprocer can process the Bashed Patch along with your other .esps.

When I try and run reproccer, it says java.io.FileNotFoundException.
