Hi everyone, Im currently playing a battlemage, and have only just discovered wards.

I use 1h axes, and was wandering how efficient wards are? seeing as I am investing in the restoration tree, I am aware of the perk to absorb magika back.

How effective are wards in comparison to shields? I feel as though they fit better for RP perposes. but any advice would be much appreciated.

I tried the same thing but did not really like the wards. I think it was because it takes longer to cast a ward spell than it does to just put up a shield. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I saw somewhere in game that wards only worked against magic attacks. I usually just use alterations shield spells instead.
