Using Wrye Bash

Post » Mon Sep 16, 2013 9:38 pm

I've been playing Skyrim for 18 months and have never used Wrye Bash as it seems too complicated. So I have no idea what I have been missing.

So I downloaded Wrye Bash recently and the Help seems beyond me. I cannot even seem to deselect all mods and then re-select only the ones I want to Bash.

Does anyone know of a simple tutorial that might help me, just says Do this, Do that etc?

Or am I just being dim?

I wanted to try and De-Level and Re-Level these from my BOSS log:

I believe BOSS automatically adds those tags if you have bash and BOSS. I know when i went to add tags all those mods that BOSS lists as needing them, already had them attached.

As for a good readme, there is a very nice tutorial series about wrye bash for oblivion (which has the same interface and features for the most part as bash for skyrim) on the oblivion nexus. Ill try to find the link.

Edit here it is. This tutorial helped me a ton. Its full of nice easy to follow pictures :)

Thanks for that!

But I think BOSS adds these notes about bashing whether you have Wrye Bash installed or not. I've just ignored it up to now!

Cheers!

It's not automatic, you have to add the tags yourself, it's pretty simple though, just rick click the box below "Bash Tags:" and select the tags you want. Easier than write this down.

Bash will automatically add the tags if it can find your BOSS install.
