USS Constitution

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 2:14 pm

Now, we have seen that USS Constitution, a preserved landmark in Boston from the Colonial Wars have been fitted with, well, engines and stuff, and shoved on a top of a building...

What do you think is happening? Who did that? Who owned that place in the wastes? Any ideas/speculations?

Most likely, it will be the base of the Minutemen, I think? Or is it a base of another organisation?

... And imagine that they are hostile towards smoothskins and plunder brahmin caravans... With laser muskets and rusted cutlasses. (just a fancy version of raiders, then?)

That would make Boston a lot more colourful!

You know... wouldn't that thing have rotted away after 200 years with nobody to preserve it?

That's what bugs me with this USS Constitution still there XD

It may lead to that Boston is not hit as severely by nukes, and there's one group/organisation that is so dedicated to pull that large, heavy ship, and put it on top of a building, preserve it and... Put an engine to it. -w-'

Gee, who are they?

I'm pretty sure the ghoul pirate in question is just a ghoul in a tricorn hat and a redcoat outfit.

Boston wasn't exactly known to be infested with pirates, however, it is known as a birthplace of the American Revolution (tea party and all).

I'd say a ghoul dressed as a British soldier is the safer assumption.

Prewar commie hating red scared paranoid America probably had the boat refitted with something more stern before the war as a sign of democracy or something equally ridiculous to fight communism.

Those engines are actually orion rockets, and the ship will fly by farting out nuclear bombs!

Maybe we can actually traverse the irradiated Atlantic? Why else would you strap rocket jets on an 18th-century wooden vessel?

Most likely, yes...

But why do they need that at the first place? XD Its perched comfortably on that bank...

Did they installed an anti-gravity machine onboard? Is there ghoul pirates/redcoats on that ship? We'll never know until Bethesda shed more light on it!

The better question would be: why did they land the ship on that bank? I can only imagine the order being given...

CAPTAIN: Sir, land this vessel.

CREWMAN: Aye-aye, captain! We shall land it on the bank of the river.

CAPTAIN: Nay, belay that! *points at the building labeled BANK* Land it on that building.

CREWMAN: *blinks* Uh, captain? Don't you mean the bank of the RIVER?

CAPTAIN: No, sir. I said on that building. Make haste!

CREWMAN: *sighs* Aye-aye, captain...

*CRAAAASSHH!!!*

CAPTAIN: *shouting* LAND-HO!! WE HAVE LANDED!!!

My character will find who desecrated that fine wooden vessel and make them pay dearly.

Better than super mutant pirates! XD

Imagine that guttural gravelly super mutant voice mixed with pirate speak...

"Yarrr! I'll eat yer landlubbin' arms!"
