hey guys i was playing crysis 2 jsut fine last night went to bed shut my pc off and i jsut turned it one and it wont let me paly crysis when i open it it has a black screen then takes me right back to my desktop so its like force closing, i installed some windows updates befor i atttempted to paly crysis..could this have affected it in one of the updates or is somthing jsut messed up? any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

EDIT; i jsut tryed opening it again and now it says "Error There is already a Crytek application running. Cannot start another one!"

WTF i obviously do not have another one running..please help me!!!!!

Open Task Manager, go to Processes and look for crysis2.exe (or something like that).
Right click on it and end the task.

Start Crysis 2 again, should work now.

i went through such a loing process to get the freakin patch 1.2 to work and someone helped me through it i went to hell and abck so thats the last thing i want to do. i dont know my way around pc's to much

uninstall the windows updates. if it started after that, then that might be the problem. google knows how to uninstall those updates.

You could try a system repair to a date before the windows update to see if it did have an influence although I doubt it or you might want to reinstall and let EA download manager patch it.

Just friggen restart the pc and try running the game, THATS ALWAYS THE FIRST THING TO DO!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
