uvirith's grave mods

Post » Sat Jul 31, 2010 2:33 am

hi, i just wanted to download 2 mods for the telvanni stronghold.
im really confused, cause i dont know which files are the right ones.

i wanted to dl Building up Uvirith's Grave and Uvirith's Legacy.
there is one dude who combined the two of these.
and i downloaded his file correctly.

but the creator of Uvirith's Legacy says you need to dl the main file along with the last update.
but it doesnt say which one is the main file.

i hope some of you have experience with these mods and can help me.

First:
You need http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7736, not Building Up Uvirith's Grave.

Second:
This is the main file of UL: http://www.fileplanet.com/hosteddl.aspx?/planetelderscrolls/fms/files/mods/5997/UvirithsLegacy_BETA10x.rar
Make sure you downloaded all necessary updates and updated compatibility patches.

im having some minor problems with the mod now
i installed everything in thought i needed, i only left the fast eddie part out, and one other thing of which i didnt know what it was.

but the game saysthe following while loading:
"local count for script 'fastEddieScript' differs from local count for saved reference data"

and it says this exact same thing for a "vamppapersScript"

does anyone know how to get these errors fixed?

It just means the script has been changed, and that the new variables are being added to the script that has been saved in your savegame data. This kind of warning error is quite safe in this case and will disappear once you save a new game for the next time you load it. :)

Do you approve of the BUUL Mod, Stupor?
It sound like the thing most UL players have been waiting for, but there are mixed reviews on the Planet.

Indeed I do and Artimis Fowl will always have my full support. I was never too impressed with BuUG's original interiors, so making allowances for other interior TU mods opens up so many more options for players to mix and match. The whole point of BuUG was to make a customizable town, so the more customizable the better. :)

Personally, I don't play enough factions to make the BuUG/BuUL town worthwhile though. I end up with too much empty space reserved for buildings that will never be constructed, because I'm a Telvanni purist who would never let Imperial guilds into my town. ;) I don't add a town mod at all anymore actually, preferring the ominous desolation of the tower standing alone in the wastes of Molag Mar. However, I fully understand that this is just my taste and I think that BuUG is a great concept that was executed superbly.

ok, im now trying to install ONLY uviriths legacy.

i extract everything to the right folder, and a few files need to be replaced, cause their names are the same.
so i install the normal 1.10 version first, the hotfix second, and then i install the patch or whatever it is.

i didnt dl all the files because i dont want ppl in morrowind to have schedules, but this shouldnt be a problem.
but when i start the game, it keeps saying it cant find object, and it does this 10 times or so. i click all of them to continue through to the main menu.
i load my game, and then it gives me an error with a CTD.

im really freaking out, i just want this to work.
i install everything and it still cant find any of the files?
messed up!

pls help me!!
i really dont know how to solve these kinds of things.

What objects does it tell you it can't find? Naming just the first one would help.

Ah ok, you need to remove the Sri's alchemy add-on because you don't have Sri's Alchemy loaded. :)

While you're at it, make sure you have the Book Jackets mod loaded before loading the Book Jackets add-on as well (or just don't use it if you prefer not to add Book Jackets). I've had a lot of people do that accidentally.

What those add-ons do is add things that aren't required to play the mod. Some of the add-ons require other mods to work, such as the RoHT compatibility. If you're not using RoHT, then using the compatibility add-on would crash the game as well. The Sri's Alchemy add-on is a compatibility patch for Sri's Alchemy.

The alchemy table comes with the main mod. Sri's Alchemy is a mod that adds so many new ingredients to the game (and one of the most popular ones), that I decided to make an add-on that would let the alchemy sorter sort those as well. If you don't use Sri's Alchemy (and lots of people don't because it changes all the ingredients in the game), then you don't use that add-on. You still get your table either way.

Book Jackets is a mod that changes the textures of all the books in the game, so they all look better and have their titles readable on the spine. The Book Jackets add-on makes all the books in the library sorter look like those, but it requires the textures from Book Jackets (which is a huge package that I could not include), so you have to download Book Jackets to install it or not use that add-on at all. If you don't use Book Jackets, then the books just look like the standard ones, so it's not required to play UL itself. I recommend it though, because the Book Jackets mod is great. If you already use Book Jackets, then just load the add-on because the textures would already be installed. I just warn people because they try to load the add-on without it...all the time, and then ask me "why are the books all white in the library!?".

Edit: Here's the full list of add-ons and their requirements on the new website http://roadhunter.com/~stuporstar/Uvirith%27sLegacy_addons.html. Some of those aren't available yet, so just ignore those for now. If it says "Requires" in bold, it means don't use it without that requirement. Not all of them have requirements, but most do.

"Script_BOH_CScript_Telvanni Trying to Run Function index greater than function count."

what does this mean?

and could you maybe.., tell me..., where the secret switch for the study is? (A)
:P i looked all over!

This means your MGE or MWSE (whichever you're using) needs to be updated. If you're not using either, just uninstall the MWSE add-on. If you are using MGE 3.8.0b, then I might need to update my info, because I thought that one was fine last time I tested it, but I could be wrong. It works fine with MGE Rev-118 though (which is one of the betas, but very stable).

Also the secret switch is right up the stairs in the upper tower. In the doorway to the levitation shaft you will find a little stone triangle.

Ok, gotta run to work for the day, back later tonight if you need more help. :)

Just out of curiosity, are you running MGE at all? If you are, what version is it?
