Gavyn's Vampire head is invisible. I can't see it, the hair is there, but not the face or head.

I think it's bound to be a little buggy because the fix is kind of a cludge to get around the 72 hour bug.

Ah, that explains it; I was wondering why you put in that whole "reconnect to the bag" routine in the first place. I'm familiar with the 72-hour bug as it applies to NPCs, but how does it operate in this case? What would happen after 72 hours if you didn't have the re-connect sequence?

I have been playing the previous version of UL and have completed a large amount of the quests that it added, some of which have had their outcomes changed (Choosing between Verena and Ash-Kosh). Will I have to start a new char. to reap the full benefits of this update?

This looks really awesome. Just one suggestion, when a comrade dies, could you in addition to having the tombstone at the site of their death, add a graveyard to tel-uvirith?

Anyway, great GREAT work.

I really don't want to add anything to the exteriors, which would be the best place for a graveyard, because I don't want to make it incompatible with exterior mods. I will consider other options, but I don't want to mess too much with the near finished product.

Gavyn's Vampire head is invisible. I can't see it, the hair is there, but not the face or head.

I tried to minimize this with scripting, but if it's still happening (it's a common vampire head issue), you can fix it by clicking on him in the console and typing "Set facefix to 1".

Without the re-connect sequence the bag would stop working until you entered the upper tower and opened the container bag in the tower again.

It would be the cleanest solution to start a new game, or load a game that's previous to UL being loaded. If you've lost Ash-Kosh, loading a game before this period would be the only real way to regain her/him. You can clean your old saves and keep playing otherwise.

Would a save that had UL loaded but hadn't started the stronghold work?

That would work just fine. If you've entered any areas altered by UL it may need a quick save cleaning, but that's easy enough. Just unload UL, load your save, click through any error messages, make a new save, then load UL and you're good to go. Also, all your journal entries will be saved, so you probably don't need to activate the platforms again if you've started doing that in the save you want to use.

The Readme says that Ash-Kosh resurrects after dying. That seems not to have happened in my game. I first met Ash-Kosh
Spoiler
in Bal Fell
before meeting Uvirith's ghost; after some dialogue, he attacked me and I killed him. Many days later, I went into Uvirith's tomb and got the curse placed on me. When I went back
Spoiler
to Bal Fell
to find Ash-Kosh, his dead body was still there. Back at Uvirith's tomb, his ghost refuses to talk to me until I bring back Ash-Kosh. So it seems like I'm stuck with the curse.

If the answer is that
Spoiler
I need to finish the Books of Daedric Summoning quest to bring back Ash-Kosh
, just let me know that; I'll figure out how to do it myself. But if my premature killing of Ash-Kosh broke his resurrection script, you might want to fix that.

Also, is the curse supposed to have an actual effect? My character doesn't seem to have suffered any.

You shouldn't even be able to meet her before you get the quest. The object that summons her is not supposed to appear, so I'll look into a bug fix for that.

Try clicking on Ash-Kosh while in the console and typing "resurrect". I have no idea if that will work (that's the function I use to resurrect Ash-Kosh in the script). If that doesn't work, then I think you're stuck. It shouldn't matter if you kill Ash-Kosh prematurely or not, she should resurrect anyway. I'll look into that as well.

found a strange error when using tome of enchanting\spellmaking: local variable "Phase" was set to 5 and never reset. Had to do it via console.
and, when you're Nerevarine Sara when clicking on topic "azura" told "Azura is pleased %PCRank...", but since she is not Telvanni, that looked ingame... mmm... strange "Azura is pleased %."
few suggestions:
modify travel ring script so that it'll give player some gold, because some players prefer to leave their gold at home)
mb it's a good idea to alter spelmaking tome to make it use player "energy" calculated from stats to allow comfortable spellmaking at home (It looks stupid a little for such a great person as archmagister to ask lower-rank members for assistance in spellmaking, doesn't it?) instead of using gold? or at least it should give pc some gold to spend on spellmaking.

Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing something but I'm having trouble getting the Archmagisters Seal. After talking to eddie a few times and checking Tel Aruhn tower and reloading a few times, Garethi finally shows up. He asks me what his plans are for him but I have no dialogue to work with other then the basic topics. Nothing in his greating, not power shift dialogue or anything. Is this a bug? I'm not running any mods with this other then the Unofficial Patch and MGE. Searched google but couldn't find anything and we all know this forums search engine svcks so ...

p.s. I killed him but didn't find any seal in his inventory

edit: I also tried to find the seal in the CS to just console it into my inventory but couldn't find it there either. I'm running only the Beta Plugin, no chess expansion or anything but the beta

I think this is the same sort of problem I had earlier with Gavyn: I read a book which triggered a premature journal entry. This time, I had to really go out of my way to break the questline. I'll email you the details so as not to post spoiler material.

I looked at Ash-Kosh's script in the CS after my last post, and that led me to try the Resurrect command from the console, and it worked. It did seem from what I saw that she should have resurrected on her own, so that's still a mystery.

After I resurrected Ash-Kosh and led her back to Baladas Uvirith, he lifted the curse and all was well. However, Ash-Kosh no longer follows me and doesn't have the -follow- dialogue option when I speak to her. If this is normal and I just need to do something more to get her back as a companion, fine; I'll figure it out. But if it's a bug or a byproduct of the broken questline, let me know.

Would you recommend Uvirith's Legacy to someone who's never actually played through the game before?

Rather, does it greatly change anything I would miss?

Absolutely I'd recommend UL to a new player, assuming your character plans to join House Telvanni. It doesn't take anything away from the unmodded game, and adds a whole lot.

Excellent, thank you. And I did plan on Telvanni, as I'm leveling a conjurer. Thus far I've only added mods like MPP and MCP, and graphical things like Better Bodies, as I am a purist, but Uvirith's Legacy looks amazing.

I'm willing to bet that if you install Uvirith's Legacy and LGNPC Tel Uvirith while joining the Telvanni faction for the first time ever you will not even notice the difference between the original content and the new content. :D

could I make a suggestion?
If you use Vampire's Embrace, and you turn the people in the tower into vampires, it seems odd that they don't react to this, don't say anything, is it possilbe that a patch could be added that adds content for VE?

First place I checked actually. Clicked on it and it just made a locked(?) sound and did nothing. Didn't even open, I can just click it over and over and it just makes the sound.

You need to get the key to the chest, either from Gothren when you kill him, or from his disgruntled apprentice. The disgruntled apprentice should give you the key when you talk to him. Though there was some manner of a bug that made him not give me the key so that might affect you too. In that case, look back a page to one of Stuporstar's posts where he gives the console command for the key.

You need Gothren's key to open it. You get that from Gothren's body when you kill him. If it's not there, his apprentice should have it and (I believe) will give it to you.

Edit: cross-posted with the above. I removed the spoiler tags in mine since the same info is openly shown there.

How to use the bag of holding? I can't figure out how to use the bag of holding. I can enchant it and then remove the smaller bag inside the larger one but then what? I can't equip the smaller bag or fing a way to put anything inside it.

spoiler alert ...

Thanks for the effort guys! The save game I was using though, when I booted up this mod already had my character as Archmagister, ...Gothren was long dead so his body was an obvious no go. The apprentice was my only option and it took a few reloads just to get him to show up at all and when I could get him to show up he never offered me any key. There were no dialogue options other then the typical telvanni options either (of which I tried all). So there is a bug there somewhere. I thought you actually got the seal from the Apprentice so I figured the chest (although un-openable) wasn't important and I was looking in the CS in the wrong spots. When you guys let me know that the chest is where the seal actually is, I just cracked it open in the editor to see what was inside. So apparently the seal is an amulet which I never thought to check in the editor. Checked misc objects, activators, keys, but never thought to check clothing. Anyway I just made a mini mod and droped the seal in front of the chest, booted up the game, grabbed the seal and handed it to eddy then removed the mini mod. Problem solved. (hopefully) So yeah definitely a bug. Thanks again!

If you enchanted the bag properly (had all the right ingredients and the Enchant Magnification scroll in inventory when you did it), the small bag ("access bag") should be in your inventory, and you should be able to equip it. When you do, a "Bag of Holding" window should open up to the right of your inventory window, similar to when you open any container, and you should be able to move items to and from it.

If this isn't happening, something went wrong; perhaps you missed a step in the enchantment process.

If you equip the small bag and get a message "You opened the bag of holding" but no window opens, try going to the large bag and activating it. This should restore the link between them (assuming it ever existed) and you can then equip the small bag with the proper results.

Yes I could not equip the bag. I could remove the small bag from the large one but could not equip it. I have reinstalled everything today and will try again.

Please make sure UL is loaded after LGNPC, as the "chores" dialogue will be overwritten by LGNPC's generic response for all Telvanni mouths after you reach the rank of Archmagister, and you won't be able to get more chores from Eddie.

Following this advice, I'm still not able to discuss "chores" with Eddie to begin the two vanilla quests he has.
I'm not using any other Telvanni and/or Uvirith mods, besides LGNPC and UL.
