[WIP] Uvirith's Legacy

Post » Tue Sep 28, 2010 6:23 pm

I've updated the prerelease. Along with the main file, the MWSE patch and RoHT patch have been updated as well.

I have a question for you guys. Should I make a new entry on PES for the final version? It's just that most of the comments are so outdated they no longer apply at this point. I'm debating just starting fresh once it's free of the beta tag.

Definitive a new one!

Happened often enough to me that i was confused by older comments with various mods.

I agree, especially since the mod has changed so much.

Actually I would not. With so many links directing one to the original versions, at least in the original link you should make note of a new version and provide a link. Or self comment to let people know that the old comments dont apply anymore. So if you do a new link, keep the old link available with forwarding links to the new version. Just my thoughts since I am so new to Morrowind and I have had to look at if a mod has been revised versus how old comments are to determine if I should pay attention to comments before I download - a tiring process....

Good point, I hadn't thought about that.

I agree. If you stick to the old entry, people will have access to the new version without any confusion. Posting something either as a comment or in the actual description with a date for reference would let folks know that this is new, and without any of the old problems.

I'd suggest keeping the old entry (for reasons mentioned by Chakka), but perhaps you could ask the admins at PES to remove the comments?

I wasnt sure if you wanted testing on the new Primus MWSE addon but I get this warning so I took it out for now since its beta (quite happy I dont have any warnings with 241 esps loaded) :

Expression Error Unable to find global script "PGA_WarpQS" in script gp_primus_FollowPortS

Ah bugger, thanks for catching that. I modified the PGA packguar mod I was working on for Primus and I thought I caught all those when I compiled the scripts. I'll fix that and upload the new one right away.

I kind of wanted to start clean for the final version, but you guys make some good arguments against it. Maybe I can have the old comments archived? I'd have to ask an admin about that I guess.

Edit: the new version is up. The Primus MWSE patch is fixed.

It should be fine. There's not a lot of changes from the previous prerelease.

Hello. I require some help.

I was using BuUG and then switched to BuUL to run this mod. While there seems to be very few errors, I do have one bug that is semi-big.

Fast Eddie will not talk about A Shift In Power, and I do not have the key to open Gothren chest. I should point out that Fast Eddie is currently in his manor given from BuUG, and so far every other quest he gives has worked but for this one. Aryon and other NPCs will talk about it as well. Without a Shift In Power, Garethi Nemas does not spawn. I require the Seal of The Archmagister. Even if all I can get is the name of the key so I can spawn one for myself, I would be happy.

Thank You for your time.

You can type Journal HT_Powershift 10 into the console and that should start the quest for you.

Ok, one last prerelease update before final release. I've removed the altered doors to the upper tower because of a Build All Strongholds conflict and replaced them with the originals. Because of this, it might dirty up your saves just a bit, but Wrye's Repair All should fix it. There's probably no need to do a full save cleaning.

I'll be working on the version for beta 1.10 players that doesn't alter the tower cells next, for those of you who didn't want to clear out the tower and do a full save cleaning in order to upgrade.

Did you have time to look at the latest version RoHT, since you provide the RoHT patches to UL, and they may need updating or adjusting.

Other than that I am eagerly awaiting the finished Package.
Have installed Morrow on a new Machine with my fav mods and and just waiting for UL and my holidays to come around.

Cheers!

It's been tested with RoHT 1.4, and fixed due to a ref conflict. The RoHT patch should be working 100% now. Unless someone reports a little bug I missed within the next week, this is pretty much the final release. :)

Did anyone have problems with the Aged Cephalopod Boots? I got them, put them on, and the right leg disappeared just under the knee. This was one or two releases ago though.

I had that problem once, but then I checked it in the CS and it was fine. It seems to have corrected itself though. I still have no idea what could have happened there.

Weird. But good to know it corrects itself.

I may have found a small problem in the last pre-release. When I try to arrange shipments from Solsthiem and select the business topic with the trader Sathyn Andrano in the Raven Rock trade house he gives me the choices How much will it cost and nevermind whichever I choose it simply repeats over and over those two choices I can't even say goodbye. Also Almosoran seems to dissapear sometimes. He reappears if I leave and come back so that may be intentional in this release just checking. I noticed that his disposition seems to be much higher than it was in the beta version.

Sathyn Andrano shouldn't have any dialogue at all regarding the shipments anymore. I moved it all to Falco (or Carnius depending on who you choose to side with). I'll double check and make sure all Andrano's old dialogue is cleaned away.

Also, Almossaren is scheduled now. You find him in the lower tower bedchamber at night. There are ways to disable schedules if you prefer not to use them. http://roadhunter.com/~stuporstar/Uvirith%27sLegacy_retainers.html about the schedules and stuff.

I did indeed find two entries under "business" for Andrano that missed the cleanup. Once I release it, those will be gone. Thanks for finding them! :)

So I have to ask...are you thinking of putting any of items from NOM 3 in the kitchen when it's released (like the sausage hanger and things like that)? Just for some more eye candy?

I put a few more useful items in there already. I could always add more just for eye candy, though I don't want anything that just screams "mod content". It would have to fit in. :)
