[WIPz] UWWUT - Unique Weapons With Unique Textures

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2009 3:14 am

I like the fish and the score, don't touch that. I like it, but I think there should be something else, no idea what, it's just a feeling. Maybe it's because I read what you said before I saw it.

I put a southern flag on the stock and that didn't help? Maybe I'm being too hard on myself lol?

Maybe try some dirtly cloth around the handle? Like grimy old cloth, like it's been used so much, he had to wrap it to avoid splinters, or something

That made me want to have a full confederate outfit. That hat moved to my favorite hat in the game.

I kind of did. Just didn't mod for 3 days. I still haven't played any FO3 though. I just can't bring myself to open it! :( I know if I do there will be red ! all over the place.

DragOntamer, I don't know how extensive your mod list is, but perhaps you could copy a few of you saves, copy your mygames ini, and move your Data folder all to your desktop (for safety) & try reinstalling the game again? Maybe some of the original textures or meshes got messed up or lost somehow. *I don't know from experience that this would work, but I did read on one of the forums that someone said it worked. (I'm a chicken myself, but I back up my whole "C" drive to another hard drive, operating system included, so I can try scary stuff & just restore my backup if it does something unpleasant.)

Yeah, I actually did something that should have fixed it but for fear for being disappointed I haven't checked! >.< When I work up the courage to check and if it didn't I will have to try that, though I hate reinstalling lol!

Pa's Fishing Aid looks great, but the wood colour under the barrel and stock wood colour don't seem the same

Yeah, it's slightly off. Its the same way for sawed off shotguns. The fact that they made the double barrel version use the combat shotgun for the butt of the gun just makes it worse. Still trying to get it to match better.

after messing around with it NifSkope I figured out why it looks off, the buttstock has vertex coloring enabled in Nifskope so basically the model is the reason as to why it looks funny it is basically shaded over with a light reddish yellow, all you need to do is go into nifskope and disable vertex coloring

Hurray for Bethesda and their silly export options! Now I have to include another mesh! >.< Ah well, they're small. Good catch!

Gonna probably start working on this again soon. Still waiting for the Fallout 3 wiki to update its self so I can get to work on the unique textures.

A complete list always helps.

Probably something similar to Lincoln's Repeater, a fancy old firearm style appearance but darker in colors.

With TUPAM and UWWUT, you're a freaking machine man.

Can't believe the effort you've put into all this. +1

Wow. Thats actually a really cool looking gun. I really like it, and it's simple, yet elegant. I think we have a winner!

Nice, that's a sweet texture for use with a repeater.

Ultimately, someone already made a Repeater using that same exact picture. I use it myself acutally.
