Post » Mon Dec 07, 2009 4:35 am

Ultimately, someone already made a Repeater using that same exact picture. I use it myself acutally.

Well, I'll just have to do something a bit more different then.

Updated the Pa's Fishing Aid. Probably the final version.

EDIT: Here are all the uniques for PL...

Backwater Rifle
Microwave Emitter
The Dismemberer
Ritual Knife
Pa's Fishing Aid
Fertilizer shovel
Toy Knife

What did I forget?

I like it a lot! Now you should do the dismemberer. I suggest a dirts cloth wrapped handle, with the blade and most of the top half of the handle soaked in blood :P

I'm actually waiting on Echonite. He said he will make a custom model for the axe. Is there any unused axe? I thought there was a fireman's one but I can't recall.

This is going to be my WIPz thread for updating UWWUT - Unique Weapons With Unique Textures. Please post any suggestions or questions here. I will be updating this thread with pictures as progress continues on the new textures.

Also...

For the unused uniques in BS and PL does anyone have any suggestions where I can place those for my upcoming mod UWWA - Unused Unique Weapons Added? Please post suggestions here as well.

I would say, for Pa's Fishing Aid, add a rock WAY off shore (Like, almost to the bottom of the map) with a bunch of Swamplurk Queens guarding it in a little indention, next to a skeleton with a fishing pole and a broken boat nearby.

Wouldn't that require some world building? Are there even fishing poles in the game? I haven't played PL yet so I do not know if they were added to the game. If I can drag the broken boat along with the skeleton that would be a great resolution.

I think the ritual knife needs a new model though. Right now it's just a boring kitchen knife...

In PL there ARE fishing poles and plenty of boats

They added fishing poles. And yeah, it would require some world building. I guess you could just put a random boat out in the middle of the water with a skeleton, pole, and the Aid.

OK. Yeah, an actual cool looking curved blade like a kris would be cool. Something like this...

I'll have to hit up Echonite for some more blades as I have no idea how to make a weapon work with FO3. All the creatures I made so far have been rigged/made game ready by others lol.

I think it should be made of bone, like they carved it out of one of their victims... maybe it could have a bunch of inscriptions on it too

Yeah, that could be done with the texture. Unless you mean the actual blade should look like bone. Perhaps an antler like blade.

No no, I like the kris shape, I just mean like the whole thing (handle, blade, etc) was intricately carved from bone

Ah. Yeah, all doable if Echonite can make the model I can do the texture! :P

Dragon, if you put in Pa's, can I beg of you to change the crit modifier to zero, so it's not as stupidly broken as it currently is. With no bonus damage for crits, it's not the deranged two handed war crime it currently is.

Yeah sure. Really no crit damage at all though?

Don't remove all of it. It's what makes Pa's Fishing Aid not just another DBS.

See, I have no idea how damage and all that stuff works in FO3. How much should remain?

I think all of it should stay. Is there a way to lower the crit chance for it? Maybe make it rare?

Uh, that'd be because it's just a placeholder and not ready yet...
