Gandvel looked up and towards Gavin, taking his warhammer off of his back. "Well with one of us in there, I doubt it's anything good" He started towards the ruins, looking back at the other two expectantly "No sense waiting around, let's go" He pondered the ramifications of going in there, and decided they were significantly better than losing a member of the team this early on. With his warhammer in one hand he ventured towards the door and entered, decending into the gloom of the ruins. He stood by the door waiting for his team-mates to follow him, he wasn't foolish enough to go in without knowing that he had some people to back him up. He was confident, but not arrogant.

Ashina, who had said her piece and felt it a good idea to sit back and listen to what the others thought of the situation, reached for her claymore. She was in no rush, but she didn't see the sense in waiting around, either, and after a brisk walk she had reached Gandvel, her claymore in arms.
"Why didn't anyone go with her?" she asked, before shaking her head. "Don't worry. Gandvel, do you want to go ahead, or will you get my back?" With that, she swung her claymore once. It clashed against the limestone, scattering the loose bits of rock to the floor, pelting her and her companions with the ancient parts of the building, and with a second strike the door surrendered, allowing light to flood into the ruins and the three mercenaries to enter.

"Whatever's in there will soon find my hide is still as thick as a wild Guar" Gandvel commented, going first into the ruins. the dark musty atmosphere of a large amount of time filled the air, he could tell by the disturbed patterns of dust that the traps had been activated recently, so he wouldn't have to worr- He jumped back, narrowly avoiding the blade which nearly lopped off his nose. He was getting rusty in his old age. He scowled, a look of anguish crossing his face as he realized that the next trap could kill him completely.

He stepped with more caution from that point on, carefully scanning the floor to watch for more traps. He breathed deeply, there was a certain musk in the air, the scent and taste of the dead. he quickly crossed his hands into a Dunmeri symbol, often used to put the spirits of the dead to rest permanently. It was nearly a habit to him, due to the frequency it was needed in these troubled times.

Gavin hesitated before he stood up. "I'll stay right here, in case our scouting enthusiasist returns. If he found the place deserted, who knows what might he do or where might he go. Wouldn't do us no good." he said as he approached Gandvel and Ashina. "Now you two go inside, search for that foolish girl and bring her back. If, by chance, you need any help, give a shout and I'll storm inside. Otherwise I'll guard the entrance." he drew his bow and began looking for a good lookout in the ruins, before adding: "Now hurry, who knows what lies inside, threatening the girl!"

IC: As I walk down the mountain I start tho think of all the things that have happened in the past two weeks, the badits that raided my home, I have been in many fights but i never had to kill a man.
There was something weird about those bandits they were extremly well equiped they all had ebony equipment except their leader was equiped with daedric armour and a daedric claymore, I had never seen a bandit so heavily equiped. That bandit was difficult to defeat, i barly made it out of that fight with my life, If my cousin hadint shown up when he did id be a dead Nord, I wish had dies though because of my carelessness my cousin is now dead, From that moment on i vow to find out to he led these bandits to my home. I took the bandit leaders equipment and told my father i was going to be mercenary, I figured that would be a good way to earn money and get information on the people who ordered these bandits. I packed my things and set off down the mountain to Cyrodiil.

OOC: Welcome to RPing :) A few things: You have to post a character sheet, which is found on the first page, just fill it out with your character's information. Secondly, the preferred method of writing here is 3rd person, so instead of "I picked up a vase" or something it would be "He picked up a vase". I see some potential, just needs to be refined.

Gandvel continued on, eventually finding the lost member of the group. He knelt down and looked at her wounds, a nasty fracture on her arm and a possible case of hypothermia. He took a herb out of the satchel on his belt, applying them to the swollen area. He sighed, getting up "She just needs to take some pain relieving herbs and keep strain off of it for a few days, she won't be much use in battle" He rubbed his eye-lids, and then heard the voices.

He gave a jaded smile, to the uninformed adventurer they may seem like voices of distant conspirators, but they were really just the voices of the dead. The ancient magic in these ruins were enough to keep shadows of people alive, some became Wraiths and undead, the others became marginally sentient beings. Completely invisible and incorporeal, but they still had their voices. They were mere near inaudible whispers, but they could be helpful. While he hated the thought of people not completely dying, he decided to exploit it.

He walked forward and heard the whispers rise slightly, they were focused in a chamber a little forward from here. He slung the still unconcious group member over his shoulder and walked forward, signalling Ashina to do the same. Luckily there were no traps in this corridor, so they swiftly arrived into the chamber. "Voices of the dead and damned, we need your help" He said this loudly and in an authorative manner, his stern eyes even sterner now. "There were recently a few known criminals hiding in your ruins, please tell me, do you have any indication to where they went?" There was a large pause, before the voices started whispering "Where the sun is the brightest and the land is the deadest, where the people are frivolent and cunning.. The land of the Khajiit" Gandvel sighed, so it was Elsweyr they were looking for? That would save them a lot of time. He walked out without saying a word, the still unconcious team-mate over his shoulder.

OOC: Gallowglass, if you take issue with this quick way of getting to the point just tell me and I'll edit it a little. :)

Andi returned from the trees after a long time gone. He stepped out from the tree line and back into the center of the ruins. He looked around puzzled for a moment, thinking everyone had left while he was gone, until he saw Gavin. He smiled as he realized he hadn't been ditched and waved at Gavin as he ran up to him.

"I was right, someone was watching us. With the strangest technique as well" Andi said to Gavin, the only person left to talk to. "I found some tracks, fresh tracks, it's odd, very strange. I followed the tracks and they circle around these ruins six times, six times circled. I don't know why anyone would want to watch from each direction, but maybe they wanted to throw us off or maybe they just wanted to make sure they saw every of our movements. The tracks circle the ruins six times and there is evidence that one person stopped at various points while circling and just stood there, watching the ruins, watching us. And the tracks break off after the six times round and head into the north".

Andi sat on a rock to have a rest, then continued.

"There was only one person watching, perhaps a scout sent by this guy we have to catch, perhaps someone that wants to rob us, who knows, but the individual ran off to the North, thats for sure. The North...........It's quite an odd technique I must say, I have never used it myself in my profession, but it is strange, the person must want to be thorough, to watch from each direction. But each time this person moved they took a big chance that we might do something that they would miss, while they were moving around the ruins. Strange, to be sure, strange".

He sat on the rock and crossed his arms, thinking about why someone might watch in such a manner.

ooc: i decided to repost after andys post so it made more sense

ic:Luna slowly came too, her head throbbing. she tried to move her arm and was rewarded with a stabbing pain. she sat up using her good arm as support and looked around. she noticed that she was outside the ruins, the others standing nearby. she offered up a silent prayer to akatosh as she strungled to stand using the pillar nearby. her legs gave way and she ended up back on the floor. "who carri...." her question was interupted with sevral sneezzes "oh great" she mutered "just what I need". she awkwardly opened her food pouch with her good arm and pulled out a bread roll and began eating. "so who carried me out?" she asked with a mothfull of bread, she swallowed "oh and did anyone pick up my sword?"

ooc:
edit: If either of them want to physicly get out then I will repost it further along

OOC: Just a quick insight. dragon reaper, could you please use capital letters correctly? It would make reading much more pleasurable. And, oh, concerning your last post, I don't think that Gandvel actually got you to the surface yet, as far as I know, it's just me and Andi talking up there. I know it's just a detail, but maybe Gallowglass or Polymorph-1 wanted to literally "get out". :) BTW, Darck, while your writing style certainly is not bad, and in time will certainly take better shape, I don't think meeting and defeating a bandit in full Daedric really falls under the rules of this RP. Also, your post seems story unrelated and as has been mentioned, we're writing in 3rd person.

OOC: If grammar bothers you, perhaps I could forget I actually do speak English and use my native Gaelic here? ;)

IC: Ashina laid the young girl on the grass outside, wrapping her arm around her shoulder and calling for a cloth to wash her wounds. Her disgust she felt at the other Dunmer for his recklesness in dealing with elven ancestors was extinguished, although she vowed that her contempt at such disrespect would return.
"Your sword is by my feet," she said, not knowing whether it was really there or not. "But it doesn't matter. Thanks to his intuitive grasp of the obvious, we've found out we should head to Elsweyr." Ashina gestured to Gandvel. "Hold still."
Ashina took a cloth that was handed to her, and spat on it, rubbing it between her fingers. She ran it along the girl's wounds, despite feeling uncomfortable about leaving her spit on an Imperial, and lit a fire in her hands at the same time, although it failed to break through the damp material and became instead simply a warm area to soothe the girl's wounds.

OOC: Completely misunderstood, I see. :) If I started poiting out all the grammar mistakes I would spend nights doing that (even concerning my own posts). But, seriously, asking for such a simple thing, as capital letters (in an RP!) certainly are, does not make me a Grammar Nazi. Therefore, your sarcasm is botomless. I wrote that OOC mention, because I find this RP good and would like to keep it a pleasent read. ;) And, I swear this is my last OOC post, next ones will be IC. :D

Luna waited till Ashina had finished treating her wounds before trying to get up again, this time she managed to stay on her feet. Her sword was in fact by Ashina's feet but it wasn't until she picked it up that she realised that a large crack ran down the length of the blade. She frowned and carefully slid the blade into its scabbered, which was awkwared because it was on her left side. She wouldn't be using it again till it had been repaired or replaced. Luna raised her hood as she turned to Andi "did you catch the spy?" she asked.

OOC: ok ill try third person, and guys this is my first time rping so help is much appreciated, and im sorry my last post wasint really story related

IC: Darck continued down the mountains until he was finally in Cyrodil, he continued to march until he was able to see Ayleid ruins, outside of them he spotted a group of people who was told to be his companions on his mission, they seemed to be seosoned fighters. Darck approched them to greet them, then he spotted the wounded girl "what happened to her?" Darck had always put peoples lives above everything else. Then Darck looked over and noticed the damaged blade "would you like me to repair that for you? im very skilled with a hammer"

Before Andi could reply a new arrival made themselves known to the group. Luna was shocked that he'd managed to get so close to them without her realising, especially considering the heavy armour he was wearing. "Thank you for the offer but it would take more than a hammer to repair the damage, I'll wait till I can find a blacksmith". She was definateley out of it, maybe she hit her head harder than she thought. After the newcomer had introduced himself Luna turned back to the rest of the group and asked about the spy again.

"excuse my manners" Darck said as he looked at the group and he removed his helmet revealing his long dark blonde hair, blue eyes and a scar on his cheek, "my name is Darck and I am a Nord Hunter from Pykrim but i wish to become a Knight" Darck looked at each member of the group thinking that he is going to have to trust these people with his life but even worse he was afraid that they would trust him with their lives.

Andi looked at the new guy called Darck

"Hello, I'm Andi Grunhair"

He then turned to Luna to answer her question about the spy

"Well, an odd spy it was. I didn't catch the curious individual but I know that he or she headed to the North. As I have told Gavin here, this person has circled the ruin a total of six times, stopping at various points to watch from each direction, then making haste to the North" he paused for a moment, thinking about the odd surveillance strategy

"It is a very unusual surveillance technique indeed, I have never used it or even known anyone who has used it in my profession, which as it happens is surveillance and investigatory practices".

He stopped talking and kept going over it in his head.

IC: "Remember that the Renrijra Krin are guerrillas. They know what they're doing and why. No matter how strange it seems to us, we must accept that they will have gained an advantage in it. We need to move," Ashina explained, thinking through her own experiences in guerrilla warfare and coming up with what she felt was a disappointing answer for her companions. "But we won't go the right way if we keep this up - Elsweyr is to the south."

"can someone please fill me in on the situation?" Darck looked at the group confused "what is our mission? nobody told me anything I was just told to come here to meet you guys" he started thinking about the spy they were talking about and started wondering how important this mission is for us to be spied on "if we are being watched we should move out now"

IC: "What?" Ashina said, surprised, forgetting about the wounded Imperial. "They didn't tell you? It almost makes me wonder how much they know...we're tracking the commander of the Renrijra Krin in Cyrodiil, who's been spying on the defences of the Imperial City. The guard was quite literally on his tail, so he slithered away into these ruins. He's gone now, though. Must have known we were coming. And I second your idea, we should move."

Luna wasn't that suprised that Darck didn't know anything, she herself had no clue when she first got there. Darck's right she thought, they needed to move on and if they were going to Elsweyr she needed to tie up a few loose ends first. "There's a small town to the south-east of here, about a days journey on foot, I suggest we head there"

"ok we should head there, while we are there we should get any supplies we need, and you need medical attention before your condition gets worse" Darck had a feeling that if we stayed here any longer we may be in danger "as soon as you are healed we need to leave the town it may be to dangerous to stay in one place for to long, im quessing if this guy is checking out the imperials defences, he may have an army of his own." Darck thought if he had an army and knew that we were after him, we may have to fight many soldiers which would be difficult since there is only a hand full of us "I have a horse we can put the wounded Imperial on, since she is to injured to walk"
