Vacuity
Container Void Detection
version 0.3

Requires http://obse.silverlock.org/

Download : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29283 | http://www.moddb.com/mods/vacuity | http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=286

Description

"We made subtle changes to Fallout 3, in comparison to Oblivion. For instance, we replaced the medieval weaponry with guns and snukes. The color palette also was changed ever so slightly to give the game a darker look, among others. On a slighter note, lootingwasmadesimplerbyaddingaflagtotellwhencontainerswereempty.

Truth be told, we didn't stop there - We endeavoured to do the same through content patches. Take the overpriced DLCs for instance – They've made Oblivion's horse armor DLC look very small indeed." – Todd Howard on Kotaku Talk Radio

Fine Print

Make no mistake –- Vacuity is offered free of charge.

The mod adds a HUD component that basically tells if the container under the crosshair is empty. It also optionally shows the total gold value of the items inside a container [ can be disabled by committing the following line in the console - set zzVacuityCoreQ.sShowGoldValue to 0 ]

If you were to find the extra text that a bit too excessive, you can toggle the gold icon instead by committing the following line in the console - set zzVacuityCoreQ.sShowGoldIcon to 1

Compatibility

This mod is, and should be, compatible with every mod there is.

Wow, this is going to get confusing if modders are going to name their mods after each other, we could have Arthmoor's Corepc mod, Corepc's Vorians mod, and Vorian's Arthmoor mod.

Ahh, what a way to start a Tuesday morning!
Thankyou, you've given me a big grin, and the mod looks pretty funky too, this could save me those confused moments when I try and work out which of the two ayleid coffers I had looted before that zombie got back up off the ground and started chasing me again.

That's a good idea actually! Though I'd prefer you didn't get the idea from looking at me...

Ahh, man, you're cracking me up! I think I just scared my neighbour.

Btw, did I mention what a great name you chose for your mod? The state of emptiness is a most appropriate name.

Looks nice.... is there a quicker way to apply a hotfix or update to things in OBMM? otherwise don't you have to do a whole-lotta hoops just to replace an ESP will OBMM is still able to uninstall it with a click of the omod?

Hrm, seems nice, mostly because of the value detection since unlike FO3 there aren't that many (I don't recall of any for that matter) completely empty containers in dungeons.

Andruck Gro-Gorath, I had the same CTD problem as you. Change the Pluggy dll file name in your Data\OBSE\Plugins directory from "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll" to "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll". (Only change the .dll file name, leave the .dlx name the way it is). I think that should fix the problem :) BTW this is a very nice addition to the oblivion gaming experience. Well done.

With Fallout, it seemed one of those weird little hand holders...

But, change the context which it's in, and it seems infinitely more valuable in Oblivion! I can't explain why, but it doesn't bother me at all. And it's actually handy! I can now tell which container I was using as a checkpoint.
