I'm going to post soon - Even if you're still at mid-day, if you're in the Inn by evening you can be counted as always having been there. I doubt there's any real harm in being at two different places in two different times at once, especially if the end result's a foregone conclusion.

Also... it seems we've lost a number of players. What happened to Not Provided? Or Zuke117? or That One Nwah? I've sent PMs out!

Sorry for the lack of posts. Didn't really expect the RP to move that quickly. I'll be posting here in a bit. Probably won't have anything to do with what's been going on with other characters, but it'll re-introduce Felix into the mix.

Hmm... someone will have to play the guard that comes to apprehend Felix for assault. I don't feel up to it this time.

He's not in Cyrodiil anymore.

Truth be told NPCs are the business of the GMs, if they are going to be affecting other characters. You can invent as many NPCs as you want for your own posts, but that's it. I'll write up Tim The Guard's heroic intervention in a bit. Quentillius and the Jarl are waiting on Fiona's conversation with the errant altmer, and then the rest of the town is moving to evening.

Guys it look likes Scow's character is one of the only ones that can read ... there is a sign on the door saying no food or drink. I'm sure your characters would notice it :P

BTW, while we still have two separate time-streams, it'd be cool if people could put the time of day their post takes place in at the top. I know it's a bit annoying, but right now we are seriously bending time for RPing convenience so it'd be ultra helpful.

Actually, she didn't bother reading. But the scent gives it away.

Agreed, and those of you who aren't adding location to your header in your posts should start to do so please. It makes it convenient for others to find your character and know where everyone is.

Jaqen, you should refer to my new character as a Nord for now, as his elven features are covered by his helmet, and he looks Nordic for the most part.

I think referring to your character as a Nord is stretching the established rule of racial phylogeny more than a little bit. The son of a bosmer mother will be unmistakably bosmer. Yes, some features of the father sometimes come through, but half-this half-that hybrids just don't happen.

Maybe a bosmer starts to grow a beard, or his features are more round, but he's not going to grow up big, tall, and Norse like Daddy.

"Generally the offspring bear the racial traits of the mother, though some traces of the father's race may also be present."

It is a very vague bit actually, and the wording actually makes it entirely plausible. It says the offspring generally bear the racial traits of the mother, which could mean this is not always the case, and may in fact be the opposite on occasion. It's not really stretching it at all due to the wording, it simply depends on interpretation.

One little notice that might be of interest to you guys: At the moment Valton has no Captain of the Guard. The guard is organised loosely under the Jarl's own command, and he is badly in need of an experienced warrior with good leadership skills to step up and take on that role. if no-one is interested in this, we can write up another NPC, but I for one think it'd be cool to have this a fully fleshed out, RP'ed character. What do you guys think?

It was my original plan to go for that job but I tend to have more fun as an antagonist.

I had left it as an option that could be chosen for a character, but no one seemed too interested in it. If someone wishes to make a character to be Captain of the Guard, then let us know. If no one wants to do so, then I'll make Lliro the captain as he's already a ranking member of the guard anyway.

The Captain needn't be a nice guy, he could be a total [censored], an over-pious knight, a strict taskmaster, a noble soul, a wise old solider trying to do his best, a talented but arrogant young upstart with more nobility than sense...

Yeah. there are lots of options. I was just thinking, with the influx of warrior characters we have right now, someone might be interested. There would be no shortage of RPing opportunity.

Daikanos could do it. althoughe would have prefered to end his violent life and sort of retire. oh well no rest for the wicked. or Wizard Lizard has already accepted his sheet anyway :)

I could get a post up for him soon. lets do something about that imperial knight :) you know not to hit stableboys.

that's the sort of post my character would be interested in once he knows the position needs filling - if there's one thing he picked up during his century or being a mercenary, it's that being an officer pays way better than being a grunt...

Either way I'll hold off posting until a captain is chosen and he confronts me about the incident.

Daikanos has two centuries of experience  and he was once, in his younger years, ready to become the new captain of the Royal Guard, if some of these guards wouldn't have betrayed him  It would actually be the only thing Daikanos would be rather good at.

only one problem though. He is arrogant, has a big pride and when the imperial knight would speak up to him or act way to arrogant he would probably knock him in the face as hard as he could :P

I've posted a reaction from poor low-ranking Tim the Guard, who by Lizard Wizard's request is the same guard that CC'd in every single post so far, and will continue to be. Pretty much anyone is allowed to take control of "Tim" Ost-Hjul whenever they like (in most cases it is mandatory). Applicants for the position of Captain of the Guard should send their sheets to me or Lizard Wizard I guess. Maybe both? I don't know. Ultimately they also have to pass an interview with the Jarl, which we can conduct in RP later, once a sheet has been chosen.

I for one think it would be hilarious if the Imperial he is arresting ended up joining the guard and outranking him, but that's just me.

Would certainly be an unexpected twist considering how much of a dike Felix is.
