While your character sheet is acceptable, you might want to focus on doing something else than building in Valton, since there would be three carpenters in Valton. There simply isn't so much to do if there's three characters doing the same things. Sort of like if the town had three general store merchants, or three book-sellers. Or three fishers. You are welcome to Valton, but... Well... I fear you'll grow tired in Valton if you don't find anything to do, especially in the future.
(Sorry for belated reply...)
I could get involved in the new bandit storyline and change my character quite a bit (retcon him some combat training during his Imperial education). But....:
That's true. For example the "Wall building" project is waaay to big for one builder. But if three builders do it, in addition to some guards helping, it might take an RP-week or something.
Yeah, I was thinking (given he's an architect of the Imperial style- so he wouldn't just be building moar thatch homes) that he could try to introduce some large project; that is, a cathedral (though I suppose we already have a chapel, which is probably enough), a Hall of the Dead (?), some sort of canol, irrigation, or aqueduct to travel out to the farm or outskirts of town, a wall, or a sewer/plumbing system for the town (which is already sort of seen in Whiterun in-game), mill, etc.
Of course, if there's nothing to do, I can simply modify my character (still, I'd probably give him a relatively mundane job- make him some sort of merchant, lumberjack, etc... introduce banking to Skyrim, idk?).
Person from Anticlere also mentioned a few homes getting torn down; if the bandit situation somehow damages the town, bridges, farms, etc., I suppose they will be something to do.
