Seeming as I am now in a happy mood (not a beat Vincent McCool over the head because he does one thing and says the other- mood),
I'll try to configure my mindset according to you people's ideals. However, I don't feel it's fair when people pin that I'm always like a stubborn mule.
Twice I've tryed to settle a deal with you guys for this event, but instead of even trying to attempt an anti-deal, you just criticise what I say.
It's really hard for me to drive home a plot point (to the wolf story) when people are removing the chance through their own ideas.
I think Vincent can relate to this well, especially for the tower story and how I got the little team to tackle a clannfear, even when it worked against
the story. Currently I'm just trying to roleplay two angry orcs, who've come out of a butchery, while still constricting them to get to a certain area.
The area being that they tell the jarl about the incident, as well as getting land in return for the jarl's negligence (or his captain) in his patrols.
Now tell me: you're an orc who's nearly been killed by a pack of wolves, had his quarry escape, lost his WHOLE caravan due to his slothfulness..
And now is getting insulted by a dunmer, as well as a guard, being told to 'wait' by some imbecile lowlander, what the hell would you do?
Taking in the rough, mountaineering background you come from, you wouldn't just say "ok." I mean you're the brother to the chieftan of Whin-Skur!
If I was Urgoc or Khagra, I'd slaughter the whole pathetic keep and sit upon the throne for their idiocy in orc affairs. Show them how to be respectful.
Orcs don't just hang about, let someone push them over. Especially not a knife-ear or a lowlander, you'd expect them to fight to the very end.
Now to clear some discrepancies: the knife was a marking knife and I've recently just tested one on a piece of chain. Yes, the guard can get castrated.
The blade itself is of a very tough metal and with enough force can punctuate through most metal. Scale mail in itself has one notable flaw: flexibility.
With the right angle, one can pierce past the plate scales, between the gap and through the chain. So yeah, it can work, everyone. It's plausible.
Next- I've got a reasonable solution to this overall event that I'd like to suggest. Daikanos takes the hit, Varyn notices all of this and decidely gets
bored of all of this hold ups. Mass paralysis to the rescue! Urgoc, Khagra, Skarc survive, Daikanos survives, guard is castrated- everybody happy.
What happens after that, we'll just see. Can we not? come on, this is my last suggestion. If it doesn't work, I'll just have to think of some crazy edit.
