So it's middas now.. Month would be... What is the starting month of Skyrim, since that's according to some sources the Valton time of the year..

I believe that would be "Last Seed" (August).

Old dunmers seem to be quite popular. But the class is something Valton can accept, a bookseller. I don't know much about mer-lore, but isn't 17 a bit young for them to go out into the world? (correct me if when I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be like sending a 9 year-old imperial out in the world?)

Aye, seventeen is quite young for a Dunmeri boy to be wandering the world alone. I base it on the tribal upbringing - in some Human tribes boys are expected to act the advlt role much earlier than in North American culture. I wouldn't say it's TOO Young, but younger than the norm.

And sidenote... Am I allowed to post, or must I wait for my character sheet to appear on the list? :P

Since that could take a while.... And your char-sheet fills a missing role of Valton and isn't an over-powered character, I have to say yes. Welcome to Valton.

BTW: If anyones char-sheet isn't in the original thread of the next OOC-thread... Point that out. There's (IIRC) 5 or more char-sheets that need to be put there, so if I don't catch them all, give it a holler. (but ¨that's only if they don't appear in the next OOC-thread, after this thread gets locked)

So, I'll be absent for a few hours. Spring cleaning and the like. Plus I have to rotate my tires today. So, it'll be about 4 or 5 Eastern Time before I post.

Fantastic. :) Well, I put up an opening post. Nothing anybody can really reply to, but it's something. I have a bit to do around the house, and then I'll post something a little more interactive. A pleasure to be here. :P

Name: James Anderson
Age: 26
Race: Nord
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1
Birthsign: Warrior
Appearance: James is a tallish individual, standing at 5'11. He has a muscular build, weighing around 14 stone of muscle with very little fat. He has medium length black hair which is tied into a pony tail. His eyes are an emerald green colour.
Class: Bounty Hunter, may enlist in the town guard or take another job.
Skills/known spells: Light Armour, One-handed, two-handed and archery
Clothing/armor: Black leather armour with no helmet.
Weapons: Katana, Long Bow and a Steel Dagger
Miscellaneous items: None
Personality: James values his family, comrades and anyone who he can deceive with minimal effort, but will not heed their requests necessarily. If there isn't anything beneficial to be gained by the request; he'll see it as a trivial matter. If a friend or comrade desperately needed his aid, James would do it as a favor. He will try his hardest to complete the task/request, only if remained to be worth while. If he completed the task he'll expect the favor to be repaid in full.

James will do what ever necessary to get what he wants, as long as it benefits him in the end; killing innocents, betraying allies, lying. James doesn't have much of a conscience. There is no such thing as morality; virtue is a myth spread among those who are blind to the injustice they create themselves. James sees the world for what it truly is; a beautiful oasis full of creatures, who wish to live in peace and harmony, and vicious cretins and parasites that prey on those naive creature.

James will support the nation or army he is in, only if it is profitable to himself. He will also abide by that nation's/army's laws and rules as long as it is in his best interest to do so. James has no interest in politics. If his nation is in decline he will seek out to undermine his community, in order to cleanse it of the filth that made it weak and rebuild it anew.

He is incredibly prideful and conceited in his own abilities, as well as snarky. He will lie to anyone he sees fits. If he is caught in a lie, he'll try desperately to cover his tracks. Even if it means subjecting his oppressing to pain, as long as it gets him out of the interrogation. He shows no shame in killing innocent to acquire what he wants. Nothing is more satisfying, than killing a person who is weaker than himself. He only respects those who are stronger than him.

Not under any circumstances will he aid the weak, or will he show mercy to his enemies. There are only two things that await the weak and his enemies, death and despair. He will make sure they know both.
Major flaw Due to James's arrogance and conceit, he looks down upon others, and is quick to condescend others no matter their disposition. He's has a troubling admitting his own mistakes, and loves to place he blame on others
Background: James was born into a middle class family, who owned a farm outside of solitude. James grew up on this farm, working long hours and learning the trade. He learned to hunt with his dad in the winter when food growth was poor and this is where he learned how to use his bow. After his parents sold the farm, he was given a small sum of money and he moved alone to Whiterun, he enlisted in the guard service and rose to a high position. He soon left the service of the guards after 5 years(he joined when he was 21), when he heard word that houses in Valton were going for 1,000 septim, he up sticks and moved immediately.

No, sorry, after that you must leave the RP...

:bunny:

Just kidding! Go ask around the town, that's the only way to find out  The inn needs to be bigger, someone might need something repaired *the farm*.. Etc etc. If nothing else, we can hire you to do the baracks as well.
Are you going to post any -working- posts?

Edit: JButton, is everything OK? Little high on moon sugar are we? :D

Just press "Edit" near your post's right side and you should be able to manually remove all the clutter, or it might change itself into how it's supposed to be.

Edit: Hmm, sterilizing the milk isn't really necessary because of the circumstances our characters live in :P. You could drink the milk straight away, still warm, without any problems :D It's only nowadays (in real life) that we make everything 100% clean...

I opened a new OOC thread, but use this one to limit first.

Hey! It's been sitting on the table for quite some time and it doesn't smell like cow milk. Don't you dare tell my character not to be healthy!

By the way, I've been playing it wrong. I realized before posting the last one that it would be more fitting for him not to drink milk at all. Can't RP around that now so, anything goes

Edit: Another mercenary? There's not enough action for all of you... right now I will say no, char-sheet not accepted.

Edit Edit:
However, a named guard wouldn't hurt.. As long as you understand that your job is to walk around Valton and generally just doing guard-stuff, which your character already has 5 years experience of. So yeah, if you become a guard in Valton I'll accept the character.

Well in that case you better start your visit to Valton slowly, because the captain of the guard is busy right now (might be for the next week or two in-real-life..).

JButton, I'll put your character's class as "Guard" to avoid any confusion, if that's ok?

But hmm, his personality of not helping the weak doesn't really work well with him being a guard.. You know?

I thought I'd re-post this into this thread, so as to avoid Gorbad's full fury  :

Hmmm.. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_h-QV7eIsayI/TUjTyGeMN9I/AAAAAAAABiY/bmTXD97rFQY/s1600/lunapic_129514895144669_4.jpg? that sounds too realistic for a nord's name. How about Jaime Anchorsun? or Jaime Archer-Sight?

Hey and that reminds me.. aSaPp!5@, how does the name "The Drake's Folly" sound for that Hunting Lodge we're planning?

Why wouldn't he drink milk?

Apparently, "milk drinker" is sort of an insult among Nords. My Nord doesn't care though. His mother always told him he'll have better teeth than all other Nords.
