Valton: The New Hold, OOC & Sign-Up Thread #XII

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 7:43 am

For the first sentence, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Chief_Mauhulakh, Mr. Gorbad. I'll edit it in a few more details about his pet albino ruffback, Skarc, if you so wish.
Hmm, well in that case it makes more sense. But only a little bit more sense, if you believe in curses and such. :D

In the world of TES if you don't believe in curses- you're going to be cursed.

I've edited the character sheet above with the detail about Skarc, the albino ruffback. Please feel free to have a read and come back to me on it.

It's about the length of a cow and the height of a large goat. Yeah, you can figure out that one for yourself.

Right now I'm thinking it's about an inch high.

Argh. I'm going on a trip and won't be back till sunday, while that's how long an in-rp day usually lasts, I won't be able to post for the duration. Would someone be ready to stand by in case the priest is needed by someone?
It's friday now, not a long trip at all. Don't worry, if the priest is needed I'll post for him. But in two days time, not much will happen. :) (Why'd you post that in the RP-thread though? :D)

Seriously? when I said 'giant centipede' over and over again. You people don't take a hint, do you?

Alright, alright, lets say 18 to 20 inches (going by the measurement of an advlt pygmy goat).

And how long would that be? It can't be too big if you want it to be accepted into the city of Valton. (by its citizens. Who'd in their right mind would let a big centipede into the city?)

How about three feet max length and maybe one and a half foot heigth if it is a centipede thingy? If it is too long I feat it woul get stepped on quite a lot in crowded places.

Hmm. That sounds like an appropiate length, although I still think quite a few citizens of Valton will get a heart-attack when they see it. :D

My idea was to have a small farm out in the southwestern forest, with a cabin similar to Anise's in Skyrim.
The ruffbacks would make burrows underneath trees and spend time roaming the undergrowth for food.
Distance from the cabin to the town would be the same as Alguidar's farm to the town, to put it simply.

This way they'll be out of the way from scrying eyes, but welcome to visitors if any should go that way.
I'd imagine he'd get the company of the local hunters often. As well as any gatherers to the land.

Oh and by the way, I'd like the ruffbacks to be around 18-20 inches in height, 35-38 inches in length.
So yeah AyumiFan got it right, that'd be around 1'6"-1'8" height wise to 2'11"-3'2" in actual overall length.

In that case I can't do anything but accept the char-sheet. However, a small farm that produces food already exists.. So as long as it produces something else it's ok.

It will produce wool, honey, candlewax, a specialised grub meat and pottery to the populace. Everything else is fair game.

I'm just here to post my ardent support for the centipede farm, and add my opinion that they have always been big enough to ride on. Just more awesome that way.

Also, there is nothing wrong with having more than one food-producing farm. Looking at the size of Valton we should be surrounded by acres and acres of farmland. As it is we have to assume almost all the food comes from trade.

Looking at how much food-related conversations that has happened between the farmer and the citizens of Valton.. I'd say it's simply not worth having a second farm, no matter how much sense it'd make.

Ok I can now die a happy man after finishing that mammoth, tsunami post!
And yes, it might feel a little rushed before anyone asks. I'll probably fix that later.
But at any rate, I'd hope perhaps Gorbad and some guards could help the poor survivors out.
