EDIT: Also, can we use Illusionary's rules for dialogue and thought? It would be much easier to read posts and have a sort of general rule for dialogue.
Normal speech is in the normal font. For example: "I went to the store today. What did you do Bob?"
Thoughts are italicized: I think I might go to the store today.
Telepathic speech is in bold: "Bob, I'm in your head...talking to you."
Personally, I like speech in bold. Bold is kinda special because it pops out and I feel like, if something should stand out, it should be spoken dialog and not telepathic speech. Still, it's just a matter of personal taste, I'll use Illusionary's rules from now on.
Regardless, because I see different formats, I always try to describe what's happening. i.e. "said Alguidar" or "He thought."
Yes.
I would like to add that 1000 gold (just using it as a number as I haven't read you post yet) would be like the life savings of a better off peasant. It's not like in-game Skyrim were every little task nets you 500 gold. That's just a little ridiculous.
I agree. Since this is all relative, I think of it in terms of housing prices. If 1000 is the price of a cheap house, 500 for a simple assignment kinda distorts the economy. You could buy all of Valton after a few days.
Not that the economy needs to be spot on but I think the housing pricing is a useful reference.
Two. A note of interest, neither me or Gorbad started this RP. First off the original GM asked me to help out, and I did, and later when he left and I was running it on my own, I got Gorbad in to help. So it is neither of ours baby. Sort of a labour of love keeping this thing going.
And... because this isn't said enough (if ever) you two did a fantastic job. This RP has been a blast since I joined
Keep it up!
