As a blacksmithing Orc, I'm interested in any ore sellers, miners, leather workers and all kinds of soldiers and such that need their weapons shaprened or soemthign special made specifically for them.

My character is the shopkeeper, his building is right across from the inn, and he has a lot of furs and pelts if you need any leather.

I hope she's cheap. or even better, free. Nellis can't afford to lose more gold :sadvaultboy:
You can hire her on credit - Once the mine's cleared out, it can become a lucrative source of income, which she won't want to miss out on.

Those have to go through the tanner before they can be used as armor.

Now that we have a tanner, yes. Otherwise my orc could have done that himself.

I'd like to point out that in-character, my Orc has a long career as a blacksmith and enchanter of them. This is why he immediately knew it was a special artifact your khajiit was carrying. :)

Hmm... we're going to have to hang that cat somewhere to skin it, just so the Inn can get a fresh shipment of meat, at least.

hey Jaqen. perhaps Nuramon could fund you for a cut in the profit :P he has a pretty big bunch of money left from his time working for nobles, joining hunting trips with them, then in elswheyr, working for a noble as an assassin and enforcer while also offering his skills to other wealthy people and then in skyrim as he worked as an alchemist in some towns (although this was the least rewarding.)

He has enough money to fund you, though and open up the brewery. Jal would be forced to buy at his brewery though :P

There's a problem with trying to run too dirty an operation. Maven Black-Briar may be immortal, but I'm not sure the same could be said for your characters.

I don't either. It's early and I'm not thinking. I think I was mistaking one of you for the family of Gangster's that's moved in...

Could I make one small request? It's kind of hard to work out what is going on in some of your posts, especially when they begin with whole chunks of a previous Rper's post. Could people try and stick their character's name in the start of their post, bold or in a colour, like some of us are doing? Sometimes it's hard to keep track of who is who. Thaaaaaanks.

Just to clear something up, that question in my last post was actually directed at anyone who could answer not Jaqen's character in particular.

I've marked a previous RPers post like this.

Then after a new "chapter" my characters real-time events happen. I hope it's clear, in case you meant one of my posts. The last thing i want is someone not understanding what is going on.

Edit: And right now, my Orc blacksmith has said out-loud that he is looking for connections to all kinds of characters. Such as hunters, tanners, miners, shop-keepers and soldiers in need of good armor and weapons, in addition to maintaining their weapons. Anyone else than soldiers may also make a request. I'll then try to get the required materials to make that item you ordered.

That's the system I've been using as well. It was a conversation in the inn that had me scratching my head. Some Rpers like to copy and paste entire posts and then add their reply onto the end, which can really be awfully confusing. I'm sure in a few days we'll all be able to instantly recognise who Rps the innkeeper, the shopkeeper, the tanner and so on, so this won't be as much of an issue.

In the meantime I'm regretting having Fiona start conversations with two different people who appear to be in another time zone :P.

Aye, but smelly cat is pretty far away, and Fiona is in the middle of two other conversations with people right by her. Maybe she could converse via dreamsleeve-stored memospore, but it seems a bit OP.

I don't know what the price would be with the currency of Tamriel to decorate the inn and get the first batch of consumables in so I just picked a round and random number. say something if it's way to high or to low.

My guess would be that 5000 is quite a low estimate, going on the price of goods in Skyrim. That's around what it costs to decorate a small room or a part of a room in Skyrim. Then again each house in Valton is only costing 1000 septims, so in terms of the local economy it's an awful lot!

yeah, that's kindof my problem. are we going by a mix of both? maybe some stuff will come from the hold itself and will be cheaper, while other things are imported from somewhere else and have a higher price. mix it and then I think 5000 could be kindof alright.

The most expensive "Room Decoration" I've purchased in Skyrim was for Proudspire Manor, and that was the Enchanting altar, which came with a lot of stuff. And it "only" cost 3500.

It costs less than 2000 gold to fully outfit a house like Breezehome. I see 5000 as a good "Starting Price" to furbish an Inn... but it will cost about 2,000 for a massive Sabercat-head trophy - but I'm expecting the Jarl to chip in a bit as well, to keep it from being hauled off to Riften or Whiterun. I think the Companions of Ysgramor would be highly interested in purchasing such a prize.

I just put a range from 5 to 10 and when we finally settle on a good price, taking everything in account I'll change it. because he is supposed to have the money but I just don't know how much it should be :P

also don't forget you don't only need to fully outfit it but also buy consumables and stuff like that.

But those don't cost very much... 1000 alone could stock the place for a month.
