other than getting more info out of them and increasing your level, what happens other than their expression if a person likes you?
in all my time of playing i;ve never seen a difference

if a gaurd likes you and you have a bounty of 100 or less(i think) he'll "remove" your bounty for free

and merchants would give you better prices

and if you ever got in a fight with an npc with a high dispostion they'll more likely accept your yeild

(i found this one with cheats :P) if you max out personality and speechcraft bandits in caves would just let you walk by and if you talk to them they have only rumors to interact with(if i remember corectly)

UESP says it's a 1000 gold fine payed by guard at disposition of 90.
You need friendly Counts and Countesses to buy properties.

Their dialogue changes depending on if they like you.

"Can't you find someone else to bother?" from someone who doesn't like you may become, "If there is anything I can do, I am humbly at your service," if they do like you.

My character tends to want to be very nice and help those who like her. She tends to kill those who are mean to her. So it makes a big difference in her game.

Not sure if they pay up for murder, doesn't make much sense. I stole a book from Umbacano and legged-it though, and the guard was like "Er, yah I didnt see..."

Yeah if its mega high, some enemies will talk to you instead of fighting, and you can get better deals, and guards wont arrest you.

"I'm sorry, I don't feel like telling you that until we're better friends".

Also gets better prices in shops.
