Steam is fantastic. Indeed it is. BTW, can't wait for Portal 2. I trust Valve to deliver on PC.

I know, I have no doubt in my mind that it will be a great game. We can only hope this game gets the attention it needs for the PC community, or it's dead to us, well, at least to me.

In Valve we trust.

Same here, I didn't pre-order it though. It seems like an extra copy of portal wouldn't do much for me. I have evvvvery game by Valve at this point, so yeah. :\

I'm hoping they are right because Crytek said the same thing

I have been a PC player for a good amount of time, when the PC screens where, at your choice: Green or Gray.

But my point is... I'm having a lot of fun with Crysis 2. Multiplayer is way better than the first one. Story mode I didn't play much yet but is good too so far.

What is really frustrating for me at the moment is the CrossFire support, or I may say NOT SUPPORTED :(

Dual card mode SLI and CF are out for soooo many years now. How come I big game like this come out without a smooth setup??

Well this is interesting... i would say that Valve is the onli one left.
- Blizzard is splitting games in 3 parts to earn money... like in Starcraft 2, splitting the multiplayer playerbase in several ladders and screwing the ones that wont buy the upcoming games...
- DICE is doing the same stuff that CryTek did... they are calling BF3 a TRUE PC GAME, and BUILD ON PC, PORTED TO CONSOLES stuff... but we are FAR from seeing the final version of that... and ill love to see that... but i find it difficult....
- Valve Master Race, because they do give us good looking games, awesome multiplayer fun, functional multiplayer servers, and more...

I hate myself from Pre-Ordering Crysis 2 instead of Portal 2.... =S

I was somewhat put off at first about Blizzard splitting up SC2 but given that the SP campaign from WoL is a decent length and enjoyable I don't mind if the next installments follow suit. And yeah, regarding DICE I hope they are true to their word and not just spouting off.

Blizzard? It's been along time since they've been anything good. It's about money to them. (20dollar pets)

Valve, my reigning gods! Blizzard deserves praise too for Starcraft II but that's really the only thing they got going. Nobody could care less about WoW, if you want MMO love and evolution, you need to turn to ArenaNet and GW2.

DICE seem to be on the ball though. Consoles are getting the dumbed down ported version of the PC, everything that was PC-centric in the previous BF games and lost in BC2 is coming back, and their decision to drop XP and DX9 out of the equation only goes to show their support for us and for the evolution of gaming as a whole. No more consoles holding us back.

But Valve... My love will forever be at Valve. I could be punched in the face by Gabe, I'd still love him.

I don't trust BF3 either. That's another "multi-platform" engine. Its just going to be another fancy console port.

Actually, it's definatelly not and it's been showed multiple times. Proof of that is that DX9 will not be supported so the engine had to be coded from the ground up based on DX11, and consoles can't do 11. Statements like those only show ignorance, mate.

It's not about gaming anymore... gaming companies today are not lovers of gaming, they are just businesses for money. Its not about pc dying or not. I used to love consoles back in the days of play station 1. Where games were made by gaming companies who did it for gaming. But everything thats good dies. Even console games are crap to terrible, not just pc. The only good companies who care are those who are exclusive to their platform.

I mean why would u develop a real game for 5 years to make average sales, when instead u can make a stupid dancing "game" in 5 months and make way more money...... only gaming lovers do that. Again its not about platform, but the easiest way to put out a game and make the most money...

As much as im a pc lover, id sell my pc soul to get another play station and a bunch of real games like RE1-3, silent hill 1-3, ecc..., where games used to do their job, unlike today.

It is most unfortunate but the truth :(
