Vampire and Werewolf Stories

I was thinking that why would you want to become a vampire or werewolf without a story in it like a quest series or a faction of some sorts. I found seeing all those vampires fun to defeat but why were there so many there should be a story behind it or at least have a faction quests just a little idea if you want to be one.

Definitely! Sadly to say I have not played through Bloodmoon yet. After seeing the hype for skyrim and seeing videos on youtube about Bloodmoon I started up my morrowind disk again today and plan to play through both expansions before November!

Vampires and Werewolves should definitely have their own story arcs. That was desperately missing in Oblivion.
It would be extra-cool (if a little too good to be true) if each had TWO story arcs, depending on how you wanted to play your Vampire/Werewolf: one to find the cure (the legend generally goes that, once permanently infected, you have to find and kill the origin of your infection), and a second to become the most powerful Vampire or Werewolf in Skyrim. Or the leader, if it follows a more TES-traditional formula.
At any rate, no matter which story arc you pick, they should be the same length as any other faction.

Yeah if you eventually get Hircine's Ring - Being a werewolf is such a curse without it.

I'd personally rather it be a decidedly natural, if unpleasant affair. You're just an unfortunate sod who caught a disease and didn't (by accident or intent) find the cure. Nothing to single you out. Quests and story lines should follow.
