Vampire attributes.

I'm assuming there are vampires in skyrim if not it will be one of my biggest dissapointment. but this thread is spicifically for their bonuses how strong should they be. I would like to see vampires be something feared by the biggest most fearsome nords so i'm proposing
---+50 to strength, speed, willpower, Acrobatics, Athletics, Hand to Hand, Illusion, and sneak
---Feeding Mandatory or you lose most of your strength and bonuses.
---Can't go in sunlight at all, because your not a Cyrodillic vampire, entering sunlight=death in 5-6 seconds and firey animation :flame:
---You can only enter town it your face is hidden by a hood or cloak if its not people attack :toughninja:
---powers should not be spells
---claws or pointy nails useable in battle
---100%Resist Disease@Paralysis
---25%Resist NormalWeapons
---Even longer cure quest.
---Nightmares that would make you pee your self.
---75% Weakness to fire
---Immunity to frost.
---Throat/neck munnching finisher move
---Volkihar can move through ice without breaking it
Anything I forgot, tell me what you think.

P.s...... this is different from the other vampire thread so if your a moderator. this one is about their Strengths and Weakness the other is about their Inclusion in skyrim and them in general. So im safe.......right.

I liked how they did the powers in oblivion. The more time you went without feeding, the more powerful you became. I'm kind of iffy on your ideas for bonuses. This sounds like it'd be a kind of god like character. I think you'd be overpowered. and if powers weren't spells, what would they be?

  • You know, it's ONLY the Cyrodiilic clan that can blend into society due to the ability to look not like a vampire, and I'd like it if they were never seen or mentioned again. Ever. Along with their blending into society bit. All the other clans are screwed with ugliness and should remain that way.
  • Also, maybe have it so vampires cannot regain health by resting and require potions, a drain life powers ability, or svcking blood on a sleeping victim.
  • The +50 increases are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too high. Make it 20 AT MOST and with only certain clans, otherwise the usual run should be around 10.
  • Keep the cure quests, I'm sure there will be witch covens who are extremely knowledgeable about these things.
  • Different clans, giving different bonuses, abilities, and looks. Some clans may be allies, some neutral, and others bitter enemies
  • Keep the 100% disease and paralysis.

I read something funny about this sparkly twilight kinda vampire.
It went: He doesnt drink blood, he sparkles and lives in the forest. Thats not a vampire, thats clearly a fairy.

Oh I do hope Skyrim will have vampirism.
With some vampire quests you can do for your kin.

I know the cyrodillic clan is the only one who can blend but how else are we going to do quests if everyone is running away
the +50 is supposta be high, makes them something to be feared, but i think the disadvantages off set it

Those books have ruined vampires and werewolves forever. Do you think if the say "Dark Brotherhood" paid the author and some of the lead actors a visit the abomination would stop or would they become martyrs. I hope the abomination would stop because the next people on their list should be the Wayan's Brothers, Tyler Perry, everyone on the Disney Channel, and the people who made Epic Movie.

They should look at 'Vampire Realism' and 'Vampire Embrace' mods from morrowind:

  • Vampires can't heal with enchantments/health potions/spells (only blood)

  • They need to feed (to survive and to regenerate hp too)

  • They get recognized but you can persuade someone to accept you as a vampire (otherwise you can't do quests, and that makes being a vampire a game ending option). Other rational option for this is to make people not recognize you when you have a full helmet and you have clothes on.

  • You can get thralls and slaves that you can feed on, and you can have "children" if someone likes you and accepts to be bitten to become a vampire

  • Vampires get really strong

And, vampire clans are a must! Also, no daylight vampires. It's really fun to walk only at the night, I don't remember of seeing the daylight in morrowind because I only play a vampire.

In my opinion they should make vampires playable - you still should be able to do quests. But people saying "I curse you, vampire!" and most people not talking to you, and then guards attacking if you talk to them (or walk close to them maybe) should still exist. Then if you need to talk to someone for a quest or trading you have to persuade them, and you'd need high personality and speechcraft for that.

I think vamps should receive stacking bonuses for feeding and said feeding should be lethal. Each day you don't feed you get your stats drained because the level drops and if you do feed you get a a stat bonus cause it adds one on the stack. So a basic vampire has slightly elevated stats and an advanced vampire has an incredably high level. They should have it like a progressive system where after a certain amount of time you gain the ability to have more then one feed stack up, but the first ten or twenty times you do it it can only be increased once a night. Doing it this way makes it so if you can make it through the first few nights you gradually adapt to being a vampire. Or if a vamp guild is added then you can increase it by leveling up in the guild. I feel vamps need more of stealth increase then a strength or magic (although have both of those, just not to the same extent).

Skyrim should be safer then Cyrodill for vampires and from the information that they have given over the past games its a vampires paradise not saying they shouldn't receive damage but it would make more sense if they received less depending on their altitude

Well that's obvious; you don't do them. Becoming something like a vampire is supposed to be a game-altering transition. It's the point where all hitherto-considered 'normal' aspects of how you interact with the world are suspended and substituted with new ones. Namely, if you're a bloodsvcking terror, you should not expect in the slightest to get quests. Nor do them. Nor return for rewards for them. Because you are a creature that virtually anyone would flee from or take arms against in a heartbeat. And that's a stigma and a gameplay-mode that the player should have to live with until the very day they get cured.

Not saying that there won't be the odd noninfected NPC out that would let you approach. Any surviving Telvanni coming over into Skyrim probably wouldn't mind you too badly, as an example. But they're hardly the norm.

There's little point in even having vampirism whatsoever if it's going to be something you can just bypass in terms of its social consequences.

Vampires should be seen as really evil. Attacked on sight, etc. They should have huge evil fangs, black mouths, red or yellow eyes, dark eye sockets, pale skin, etc. But they should be very strong. Like the traditional, Dracula-like vampires (not this Twilight crap).

Ive had a Vamp character since Daggerfall. If they wanted to really get in depth, they would have the different strains of Porphyric Hemophilia give different bonuses, but I doubt they do that. With a vamps longevity, its illogical to think all Skyrim vamps come from the same strain.

Except for that's astoundingly... well, Boring. If I wanted to play a Cyrodiilic vampire, where I can be the ultra-powerful scourge of humanity with no social consequences if I just feed every now and then, I'd go play Oblivion.

From Oblivion's Immortal Blood:
The next day, he did return with more questions, these ones very specific. He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim. I told him about the most powerful tribe, the Volkihar, paranoid and cruel, whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins. I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes, never venturing into the world of men except to feed.

Movarth Piquine listened carefully, and asked more questions into the night, until at last he was ready to leave.

"I will not see you for a few days," he said. "But I will return, and tell you how helpful your information has been."

True to his word, the man returned to my chapel shortly after midnight four days later. There was a fresh scar on his cheek, but he was smiling that grim but satisfied smile of his.

"Your advice helped me very much," he said. "But you should know that the Volkihar have an additional ability you didn't mention. They can reach through the ice of their lakes without breaking it. It was quite a nasty surprise, being grabbed from below without any warning."

Frankly, that just sounds so much better as a descriptor. I want the limitations that go along with vampirism, not to just have a free pass when it comes to continuing my quest experience as normal.

I agree, I hope they make the vampires like that and not the "mainstream" vampirism that seems to have evolved these days.

Would be cool if there would be two different vampire strains, because in Immortal Blood it says:

He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim

But that is just probably too much to ask for.

wow AWESOME , is this a mod? or you making it up, i need a link! and in skyrim, if your a vampire, you should be able to see in the dark alot better than any humanoid playable race, even better than kajjit, so you can see everything in the night , because in morrowind or oblivion its really boring to walk on night, i can't see much in oblivion, i guess morrowind is unrealistic enough to let me see in the dark normaly.. and in both games the sky is amazing!
