Just have to ask when you say HUMANS as cattle are you saying you only want elven vampire's?
Loved the idea but being Breton in AD i just have to ask if a Humanvampire only can get the rank of Cattle ? or are you saying you would take in Man/mer that aint vamp and have them as cattle while a breton vampire would be able to advance in the clan?

True, there wasn't an actual date given when they actually took up arms against the Vampires and became known as the Dawnguard. It was some time after the son of the Jarl died, I think.. Oh, well, I'll stop here before I derail the thread.

Human was a bit of a misnomer; what I meant instead was non-Vampire. Any non-Vampire that wishes to join us can do so, but they will never advance past the rank of Cattle; as the only reason Vampires keep those not of their kind are for feeding.

Humans could serve a variety of other tasks as well. While the majority may be cattle why not have a few agents who can walk among mortals and their hallowed grounds? Alchemists can be fairly useful as well etc etc.

I literally only had the idea earlier today and wanted to see what people here on the forums thought before I set anything in motion, so the matter of signing up is still very much up in the air; though I'm taking names and I'll be messaging people via mail soon. Definately a good thought, and it's sort of along the lines of what I had in mind. They would carry out meagre tasks for us or do things for us that we'd be unable to, but they would very much be our servants; and would be unable to climb in the ranks as non-Vampires.

Sounds like a fun idea so I'm interested too. Not sure if I want to be a vampire ( haven't decided yet) but I could always be cattle I wouldn't mind. I'm looking to be a member of one rp guild for some rp why not a vampire one .

You can most certainly start out as Cattle, then perhaps one day if or when you decide to become a Vampire, one of our members could turn you.

Vampires have weaknesses to sunlight, silver and fire; all of which are used by the Fighters Guild in order to combat undead. It's not so much that they're overpowered, they're simply outfitted to combat us.

I thought silver applied to werewolves and not to vampires. I must be off on elder scrolls lore like you and the others in this thread. Still Serana managed to walk in daylight with a hood covering her face so the sun could be halted if vampires wish.
