Vampire Bloodline [EU]

Post » Sun Mar 23, 2014 9:24 am

There are many different Vampire Bloodlines and Clans dotted about the different regions of Tamriel; some that worship Molag Bal or Clavicus Vile, others that follow no deity. Some clans choose to hide in caves or ruins, far away from humans, while others hide in plain sight and walk among us.

I plan, with the help of anyone here who is interested, on creating a Bloodline, which otherwise simply acts as a Guild for Vampires. The name of the Bloodline or Clan is up for discussion, as are the ranks and direction of the Guild. As a roleplayer myself, I would suggest roleplaying within the Guild not be mandatory, but encouraged. Another suggestion of mine is that the Guild would also invite non-Vampires, but only as Cattle; much like many of the different Vampire houses found throughout Nirn; they would have very little standing though, if any.

Your rank would be based soley on your dedication, or time spent, within the Guild; and the ranks could be as follows: Cattle, Minion, Servant, Stalker, Bloodkin, Reaver, Lord and Elder, which were all taken directly out of the Morrowind Vampire Clans ranking system.

Would you be interested in joining a Guild like this? The sole purpose behind the Guild would be to create a safe haven for all Vampires; a place where the members could discuss tactics, share information, roleplay or simply engage in conversation with fellow creatures of the night. In time, we could perhaps become one of the oldest and most powerful Vampire Clans in all of Tamriel.

I'd like to know your thoughts.

It's certainly an interesting Guild the way you describe it. Even makes me consider becoming a Vampire...

Just out of sheer curiosity, how would it deal with a Guild of Vampire Hunters? Similar to the Dawnguard or Vigilants of Stendarr.

That's an interesting point. If they were part of the same faction we would be unable to attack them, though Guilds in the Elder Scrolls Online aren't bound by Alliance, so we could simply send out members who are part of an opposing Alliance to hunt them down in Cyrodiil. That being said, we would be at a clear disadvantage engaging Vampire Hunters solo, so it would have to be a coordinated effort; either that or we would avoid them all together, even fear them.

From a roleplaying perspective, I'd have no issues communicating with their leader in order to orchestrate events between us.

This last beta I played with Aelsonor family guild, and the family guild concept was really neat, and had a lot of fun with them. But the race restrictions bothered me for alts. I have been considering making a vampire family or joining one to get the best of both worlds. I started a thread a few days ago asking about peoples vampire experiences, got a ton of views, but 0 responses. I am very curious to the vampire experience, especially for a dark elf fire mage tank DK.

I haven't looked into vampirism or lycanthropy in ESO, but I'm surprised if they didn't implement it so you became hostile to everyone, including your own faction.

Stay in touch with me via mail and perhaps we can sort something out between us. I'm still working on a lore friendly and suitable Clan name. The background and direction of the Guild will always be kept quite loose, in order facilitate for all Vampires, regardless of their personal motivations.

I'm really surprised I didn't spot that thread. I pretty much live on these forums at the moment and I'm a huge Vampire fan.

The Guild you mentioned, were they a Vampire Guild or simply a family or house within Tamriel? The beauty of being in a Clan like the one I'm suggesting, is that you wouldn't be bound by allegiance or race; all Vampires would be welcome - everything else would be left outside of our Clan.

They were an Altmer family, and it was really neat. I was thinking vampire family myself, to avoid the race restriction. I am leaning towards doing the vampire thing myself on my main to see what the gameplay is like, I like to RP time to time and being a vampire would make that fun as well. You guys/gals would be playing on a EU server though eh?

With the blood ritual skill, the RP possibilities of turning new family members would be amazing, plus people wouldn't have to roll a character specifically for your family (as was the case with the altmer family guild).. you'd just have to be accepted, sponsored and turned :D

You can join a total of five Guilds in the Elder Scrolls Online and they're all account bound; meaning that regardless of alliance you would be able to join our Clan and communicate with us.

I was planning to be a vampire all along as either nightblade or sorcerer. If you need any help I might be able to provide... something. c:

The roleplaying possibilities are what excite me the most, as you mentioned; turning people would be one of many rewarding experiences, and you're right to assume that names would mean very little.

Yes, we will be playing on the European server.

This sounds neat albeit I would be more inclinde to join the Dawnguard or whatever the contemporary iteration would be in this timeline. I am hoping for some RP guilds to pop up in this game like they did in Secret World.

Certainly. I plan on gathering a bunch of like minded Vampires in order to set the ball rolling right away after launch. Those that come in at the beginning will be among the founders of the Bloodline.

Where do I sign up?

I'll be watching for this guild when the game goes live.

edit: EU server... well, I'll just have to hope someone on my side of the pond has the same idea.

Ooops, I missed the EU in the title too. I'm on the NA server. Could I still join? Or are the servers completely separate or something?

Actual time and lore-wise? I believe the Dawnguard wasn't known as Vampire Hunters in the beginning as the Jarl of Riften only created them for his son who contracted Vampirism. The Vigilants of Stendarr didn't exist yet.

Character are sever-side, I believe. So you wouldn't be able to play with people on the EU server. Just guessing here, memory is fuzzy on some things about it.

The Dawnguard and the Vigilants of Stendarr were both created after the Oblivion Crisis, so they're not around yet; though the Fighters Guild are around, and they've been commissioned to fight the Daedric menace; which also includes undead. They are fundamentally the same as the Dawnguard. That being said, they're an NPC Guild, though I wouldn't be surprised if people form their own variations.

You sure about the Dawnguard? I thought they were created in the Second Era by the Jarl of Riften and revived in the Fourth Era by Isran.

Shame so many of you are on the opposite side of the pond to me and my friends, though it's to be expected. If those of you from NA want to form your own NA counterpart within this thread, be my guest. I'd be happy to chime in with ideas and suggestions. Anything to help out fellow Vampire kin.

I'll be in touch via mail soon!

I'm sorry, I should have probably been clearer in my explanation; I have a habit of skimming over details. The Dawnguard weren't always Vampire Hunters; that came much later. Honestly though, the literature on them is scarce at best; it's all mostly rumours.
