Vampire Clan

Ideally I would like to see 2+ Vampire Clans, distinct enough from each other that there'll be a good choice of a clan for players of differing affinities and playstyles.

For example,

Clan Skavis: Specializes in Illusion magic and Steath. Merciless, no qualms about killing, but on the other hand only kills with purpose.

Clan Raith: Specializes in Destruction magic and Duel Wielding. Sees humans as cattle, but wishes to enslave and dominate rather than kill needlessly.

Clan Malvora: Specializes in Two-Handed Weapons and Heavy Armor. Kills indesciminatelly, it's members tend to slaughter whenever they feel like it.

Probably morrowind system is what your looking for. It had magic/melee/stealth clans. Each one has its own style.

Yep. Vampires find Werewolves (and other Lycanthropes) to be a delicacy, with their mix of human and beast blood. I do believe it was one of the books in Daggerfall that said it.

Precisely. "Vampires of Iliac Bay"

Couldn't vampires just feed on regular people? But anyway maybe Skyrim could be alittle unique and werewolves could work together with vampires.

Vampires feed on anything warm-blooded. Their preference is regular people though. I cannot see the vampires of Skyrim working with anynone for that long. We only know of the Volkihar, the vampires from Eastern Skyrim. We do not know if there are vampires in western Skyrim. But I know for a fact that the Volkihar is mentioned to be highy cruel and paranoid. They never venture into the world of men except to feed. I don't think they have any political plots of plans for "Tamriel domination". But we don't know that for sure until we see them or hear more about them.

I would enjoy seeing a werewolf tribe. Only twice was werewolves and Lycanthropes shown to work in packs. One mission in Daggerfall had vampires try to clear out a fort of Lycanthropes who had a leader(The alpha). And in Bloodmoon were werewolves were led by a single divine intevention(Hircine). Vampire's have problems with each other. Just about every province that has more than one vampire clan has them battling each other out. We saw this in Illiac Bay and Morrowind. We did not see this extensevely in Cyrodiil because the Order vampires wiped every other vampire clan off the face of Cyrodiil. Because they are just that badass. We did, however, see Janus Hassildor send the player to go and wipe out a barbaric group of vampires in Bloodcrust cavern. This is how the Cyrodilic clan operates. Notice he never actualy did it himself but he sent someone to do his dirty work. Read "Manifesto Cyrodiil Vampyrum" for more information on tenets of this clan. And the book itself suggestes the Cyrodilic vampires made Cyrodiil their home as of the Third Era.

Meaning they wiped out the rival clan that era or simply moved in and destroyed every competing vampire tribe. So since the Empire is crumbling, we may see them move to Skyrim to try and take over. Because they "Ousted all other competitors, much like the Imperials themselves had done".

A vampire clan would be great. :) I'm all for more factions, so long as they are well-implemented (though I suppose that last part goes without saying!).

Possibly. Some vampires from Illiac Bay are allied with each other while some are against. There are nine clans in Illiac Bay alone. We might see some vampire rivalry in Skyrim.

A vampire House that feuds with a vampire hunters guild that is sanctioned by the church would be epic.

The quest line starts with you having to deal with the hunters and once you mow through them, you and your house invade the high church before burning it to the ground. Yessir. Being a vampire should be fun this time.

There is already one Vampire Clan that is known to exist in Skyrim; the Volkihar. Their' breath can freeze a person's blood within their veins, and they can reach through ice without breaking it, and pull a person through. They live under frozen and haunted lakes in Skyrim. Source: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Immortal_Blood

I'm pretty damn sure they'll implement Lycanthropes into TES V: Skyrim, considering it's pretty much the "Motherland" of the Lycanthrope. It's native Lycanthrope is the Werebear, and it also has Werewolves, which can be found in any province. Source: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:On_Lycanthropy

I'd like to see both of these and/or a 2nd coming of the Crimson Scars. the more the merrier :)

Lets hope that the Volkihar are a vampire faction. I have wanted too explore the vampire-clans since I read Immortal Blood. Never stay a vampire though... ah, well I'll just hunt them in this game too :P

Not sure about Volkihar beeing apropiate for a joinable faction. Maybe this should go for another minor clans, while Volkihar fill the rol of antagonists.

You mean at least one, or only one? (and if it's only one why?)

If I remember correctly there are many different types of vampires in ES lore, each with different abilities/powers. Morrowind had the Berne, Quarra, and Aundae clans. Oblivion had the Cyrodil vampires, which could appear mortal as long as they fed enough. So I can't wait to see what kind (if any) are in Skyrim.

Here's an in game book with a few different types.

Back on topic, I would love to see a vampire faction of some sort with a full quest line.

The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall had 9 different Vampire Clans. The Anthotis, the Garlythi, the Haarvenu, the Khulari, the Lyrezi, the Montalion, the Selenu, the Thrafey, and the Vraseth. The Thrafey and Vraseth were the only ones allied to each other. Whenever i played as a Vampire in Daggerfall, i was always Anthotis, because of the extra +20 Intelligence they recieved, i found that far more useful than the spells the other Vampire clans recieved.

Quarra clan would fit in awesomely in Skyrim. They were basicly hardcoe warrior Vampires in heavy armor and weilding blunt weapons like warhammers.

Yea, except Vvardenfell blew up. Unless some ventured to Skyrim. I like the Cyrodilic vampires, they had strength of warriors, power of mages and stealth as assassins. Practically, they were like Quarra, Aundae, and Berne combined. And also they manipulated society, who knows how deep they are tied with the political station of Cyrodiil?
