Vampire Faction Question

I'm curious if the Vampire faction (& the DLC1VampireFaction for that matter) is more than a list of allies and enemies

Reason being is that my Dawnguard Sentries Plus mod is at odds with a few quest related NPCs in the vanilla game and Interesting NPCs. Alva in Morthal got the hammer first, and Edwayne from Interesting NPCs suffered a similar fate. No doubt Cassock would as well if he ever set foot out of the Winking Skeever

My first attempted fix here was to make a new faction that was neutral with the Sentries. Sentries are in their own faction seperate from the main Dawnguard, but they are in the DawnguardExteriorPatrol faction, which is a dialogue faction only per my research (could be wrong). ANYWAY, the Enemy status with the Vampire Faction overrode the Neutral status with the new faction I created.

So short of resorting to some sort of "ignore me" script that I'm not sure how to do, the other two options that came to mind were ganking Avla and Edwayne from the Vampire faction. I'm not sure that won't create more problems than it fixes though. Option two was duplicate the Vampire Faction, rename it something like IgnoredVampiresFaction or something and sticking Alva and Edwayne in that instead.

Anybody have a good enough understanding of the Vampire Faction or factions in general to know how viable my options are?
