Vampire Lord and Unarmed Damage

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 4:21 am

Quick question, if anybody can verify this. I haven't had the chance to test it myself.

I understand that the Ring of the Beast which boosts Claw damage by 20 points effects the Vampire Lord's melee attacks, but is there any verification on unarmed damage? For example, can I enchant my Gloves/Ring with high unarmed damage enchants to further boost the VL's melee damage output? And if so, will wearing Heavy Armor gloves with the appopriate perk prior to transforming also with the damage?

Thanks in advanced, if anybody can (or has already) verified this.

Edit: Another question, will crimes I commit as a Vampire Lord carry on over to my human form, or does it work like Werewolf, where I can transform and commit a crime and run (as long as nobody sees me transforming in or out of the form) can I get away crime-free?

Not sure but apparently NPC vampires have the "vampire touch" perk which gives them extra unarmed damage, bethesda cheated us because players should have been able to have that.

Yea I miss unarmed it was so fun wailing on enemies. But I don't know on damage counters. I would go up against a easy accessible enemy such as giants who have lots of health. Attack in VL form without the gear on and see damage and hits it takes. Try and stick with only power attacks or non power attacks. Then wear gear and compare. Try it a few times because I don't know if every giant has different health plus there are many factors. But you should still be able to see a clear difference.

No, because aside from the unique vampire lord items I don't believe magic items carry over. However it is unarmed damage, the ring of the beast due to a bug will enhanced unarmed damage in your normal form.

Good question, but I believe no, the transformation works like a werewolf if your spotted changing its a thousand gold bounty but if no one sees you no bounty is applied.

If a guard sees you turn into the vampire lord form, yes.

If you do it while hidden, no.

Only rings and necklaces count towards the Vampire Lord so unless you find a necklace that adds more to unarmed you're out of luck. D=

So then, you could potentially exploit restoration to make a ring with unarmed +300 or something ridiculous and it would increase your VL's melee attack damage?

Possibly, I say rings and necklaces are all that effects vampire lord form because of the artifacts you get from the radiant quests, I haven't personally found anything better than my 25% fire resistance necklace and +100 magicka and +100 magicka regen artifact ring, it makes my vampire lord near unstoppable, fire does near no damage if I feed beforehand.

I recall someone mentioning on another forum that there massive fortify health item necklace wasn't fortifying his health. I suspect that only the unique vampire lord items transfer the effects and its carried by a special script and thus uneffected by necromage or fortify restoration glitch.

Fists of Steel, Fort Unarmed Damage. Daedric Gauntlets. I call mine The Claws of the Volkihar. No idea if it amps my VL forms claw damage but I can tear an Elder Dragon apart on Adept in said form. >,> I got really, REALLY tired of things shouting my dragonbone battle axe away from me in my breton form.

I see, well I suppose I will have to do some testing. I don't use exploits so I won't really abuse the restoration thing to power up my VL, but I'm still curious to see if it works.
