Vampire mods (Not the "big three")

Post » Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:57 pm

To sum up, I haven't regularly scripted or modded Morrowind in roughly 8 years or more. All my scripting experience was on the "local" level, (such as certain affects on armor that only occur at night, for example), and not of the "global" nature I'm asking about here. (Which is why I haven't done it myself, no experience, and the assumption that someone else MUST have done it in the intervening years.)

I'm looking for a vampire mod (which hopefully exists) that very simply makes vampires in Morrowind function more like they do in Oblivion and/or Skyrim. First and foremost, that I can "pass" for a living person, and not always be a target, and that the entire game can be completed by a "secret" vampire. I could do it in Oblivion, and I could do it in Skyrim. Play entire game as the undead, if you do it right, nobody ever knows. Having progressive "stages" of vampirism (like Oblivion and Skyrim) would also be fantastic.

That's really all I want the mod to do. Which is why I've not bothered with any of the "big three" vampire mods out there. Because I don't want all of the extra things. Not what I'm looking for.

If, however, this hasn't been done yet... I would appreciate if someone could tell me if it IS possible in the first place. If it actually can be done, just like that, then if someone could even hazard a guess as to where to start from, I suppose I could attempt it myself.

Thanks in advance. :)

Yacoby's "http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4133" is one way for a vampire to "pass" with NPCs. (See also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=671#Files)

Edit: I think Vampiric Illusion, (http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?topic=1554.0) does something similar, but I haven't looked at it.

Edit2: Oh, and not sure if you've already tried them, but Vampire Realism and Vampiric Hunger are both highly configurable in-game via menus, so if you only wanted one or two of their features, you could turn off or modify the others.

Edit3: If you wanted to implement this feature in the same manner as Vampire Embrace, that would be by adding/changing dialogue to handle the PC_Vampire function being true. A bit of work, but certainly doable.
