Vampire Transformations

This appearance would be fitting I believe, though they could still be a little more bestial.

That's more like it! It actually looks like a good ol' vampire for once. I had almost forgotten what they look like because of this Twilight-bs.

What if I wanted to remain a level 2? I like to think that if you feed once it reverts you one stage, and the 'stages' keep going after level 3 to maybe level 50 or so, but only in the way that you need to feed 49 times to return you to level 2, and 50 to return you to level 1. Ergo maybe keeping you at the bestial form for longer, and havign a bigger consiquence when you don't feed. Maybe you need to feed twice to get back to one.

So level one - one week without feeding becomes level 2: requires 2-4(depending on weeks not fed) feeds to revert to level one, one month without feeding becomes level 3, and then every week you don't feed you need to feed that many times to revert to level 2, then 1?

Not a fan OP, sorry.

I liked Oblivion's vampires. Just balance the effects a bit more and improve the facial changes.

Looks pretty cool I wouldn't mind seeing some serious monster-esque vampires in the dark nights of Skyrim.

Oblivion's vampires were garbage...Besides, the Cyrodiilic strain of vampire wont be making an appearance in Skyrim.

You don't know that, they could easily have gone to Skyrim in the last 200 years.

So use the same exact vampires as they did in the last game even though the lore clearly states that vampires have their own regions. Nah, don't use the Vampires native to Skyrim, let's use the same exact one's from the last game. Brilliant logic.

Yeah I think Skyrim's vampires should have their own feel. Your dunmer avatar would make a great vampire by the way.

Thanks bro. I had planned on making an avatar similar to this...but with dual blind eyes and hopefully long dreads (depending on how they look).

I never said they should be the only clan, I'd love to see the Volkihar, The Order and more.
The vampires in Oblivion were represented terribly, time to correct that mistake.

I want to see the Volikhar just as much as you do.

But in the review that confirmed their existence, the vampires were using fireball spells. Why would the Volikhar do that.....................

We'll have to see when the game comes out...Though I'm sure the Volkihar wont be the only clan of Vampires found in Skyrim. I read an article where someone encountered two vampires who didnt seem to resemble the Volkihar...they used fire. We all know the Volkihar have an affinity for ice. Perhaps the Order or another clan is looking toexpand their territory into Skyrim. Since the Volkihar are exclusive to easter Skyrim (near Windhelm and Laintar Dail), there's a good chance that other vampires have accupied the other regionsof Skyrim. Only time will tell.

I like the idea of getting weaker and more deformed the longer you go without blood. Gonna throw in my own take for the heck of it:

-Same three stages as the OP suggested.
-Stage 1's are treated as normal, stage 2's have a severe disposition penalty (though you can still talk to people), and stage 3's will be attacked on sight (or fled from).
-The player will have a "thirst" meter, divided into thirds. It will fill up as time passes, and the stage of vampirism the player is in will depend on how filled it is.
-If the player is a vampire, all of his/her stats will be boosted greatly while in stage 1, slightly while in stage 2, and not at all while in stage 3.
-Feeding on an NPC will kill them, and reduce the player's thirst meter by a certain amount (not completely, so a player can stay in stage 2 if they like).
-Sunlight will continuously damage and drain the stamina of a vampire at any level, unless they are covered up (like in a hood or something), in which case they only lose stamina.

As I said in my last post, the Volkihar are exclusive to easter Skyrim (Most likely near Windhelm and Laintar Dale)...No doubt that other strains of Vampire will appear in other regions where the Volkihar aren't dwelling. From what he described in the article, it didn't seem like he was in Windhelm.

Personally I hated it in oblivion, vampirism just made you look old.
I would prefer no physical change at all OR some cool changes like bigger fangs, red eyes, claws and some minor tweaks.
If i make an atractive character I still want it to be atractive, maybe not in the same way but I sure as hell don't want her to look like a deformed monster.
By this I do most certaintly not mean that vampires should look like twilight vampires :cryvaultboy: , just monsterish.

No, you said "it's up to the modder". The Beth team aren't modders, they're developers.
