You know what could be cool. If you become a werewolve and a vamp. and you become something different, like in Underworld.

No. That can't be possible in the Elder Scrolls. It was possible in Underworld because the hybrid fellow, Michael, is a descendent of the first immortal created, who is neither vampire nor werewolf, just an immortal human being(Who has a vampire son and a werewolf son whe began the race.) Since this Michael is of bloodline, he couuld be a hybrid. Elder scrolls is not the case.

Bonsamu, I don't think you should die from Vampirism, that would svck

I ain't sure you understand... (I've heard this was in Daggerfall)... after a few days (don't remember/know the exact amount) of having contracted (the curable form of vampirism) your char dies in his/her sleep... you whatch a cutscene of you getting buried and awake as a vamp in the crypt...

I agree that Werewolves are very fitting for Skyrim...however...the developers would hopefully make sure that they aren't 'normal' enemies, maybe even a sort of NPC and wouldn't just appear all the time in random encounters. That would take away the novelty of them IMO.

I like the idea of a quest in a village, to try and find out who the village werewolf is.

Werewolves were plentiful in Bloodmoon because their Prince conducted a hunt with them. Even after the Bloodmoon events, werewolves were pretty hard to encounter. They should be very rare indeed. So rare, that people questioned if they existed or not. I recall people in bloodmoon saying werewolves were extinct.

Ask around the fort or that nord guy standing near the fort. When asked about the :Werewolves: topic, he will reply.

"I don't believe they exist. I mean they did at one point, but I've heard they have been hunted down to extinction"

Strange... for me (I have GOTY nothing else) he says something like: "Men who turn into wolves, the local wolves and bears are bad enough." (Not exactly this but something like it)...

You can name it "The Ultimate Vampirism & Lycanthropy Thread" with the sub-title "Vampires, werewolves, and others of similar persuasion: gtfi here and join the gang!"

I prefer the Yekef! They eat men whole!!! But as noted those are the valenwood vamps so it wouldn't make sence seeing them in Skyrim... but for when they make a valenwood tes I'm really hoping for it to have all those cool as hell Bosmer vampires...

Yes... well... atleast I think it does... but in tamriel since werewolves are all over tamriel other werebeasts are refered to as lycanthropes as well, reed the daggerfall book on lycanthropy.

I wonder how werewolves would look like in the game. Werebears we know do not have tails. Daggerfall's werewolves had no tail while Bloodmoon werewolves did

http://imperial-library.info/~crodo/unsolved/df/werewolf.jpg (Look at those biceps!)
http://ageofgames.narod.ru/articles/bloodmoon/werewolf.gif

Daggerfall werewolves are brown in fur color while Bloodmoon werewolves are normally grey. From a lore book, we know werewolves can have different colors. Mixed colors.

How do you want the Lycanthrope to look? Daggerfall werewolf resembled http://images.blu-ray.com/reviews/1820_2.jpg one closely. Muscular and big...and without a tail.

EDIT: Daggerfall werewolf and movie werewolf look so damn similar. Ha. The claws and even the trees in the backround.

One thing that hasn't come up yet is, the allready beast races. I personally think it would be stupid if an argonian became a werewolf, or a kajiit.
It would make no sense.

BTW im really, really skeptical of Lycanthropes at this point, It would take a lot of effort, and If they did make implement it, it would definatly be something they'd want to show off.

it'd be cool if it was implemented well.
However, i think that its a bit lame being a vampire, cos of the whole sunlight thing.
I understand that it comes with the territory, but if that is the case then i would like the nighttime to be longer.
Also, maybe make it that you must cover all of your skin during the daylight hours?..
So you can actually get around, instead of sheltering for 12 hours.

Pretty much like Bloodmoons, but with minor changes...

Should be like Daggerfall's werewolves in size. But with a tail and a wolf-like face. Perfect.

If they do add vampires I hope they add a bit of depth to it. It was kind of stupid how in Oblivion you became a vampire and still every other vampire in the game world would treat you exactly the same as if you were normal. If I am to become a vampire at least give me a group or "home" in the world where I can go live with my fellow bloodsvcking brethren,
