Vampire&Werebeast

Should be like Daggerfall's werewolves in size. But with a tail and a wolf-like face. Perfect.

Well... I was kinda disapointed with Bloodmoons size ( I want them to be a bit bigger than humans)... but I think they were the best damn werewolves in a video-game ever! But a really cool feature for lycanthropes would be if the blood of your enemy's first got removed from your pelt when turn back human... that way you might end up nearly 100% covered in red...

If they do add vampires I hope they add a bit of depth to it. It was kind of stupid how in Oblivion you became a vampire and still every other vampire in the game world would treat you exactly the same as if you were normal. If I am to become a vampire at least give me a group or "home" in the world where I can go live with my fellow bloodsvcking brethren,

Here's three + one really stupid things about OB vampirism: A. I could only svck blood from sleeping people, I want to bite-open someones throat! B. There were no effects added to your victim and you could svck him/her dry. C. The fact that Cyrodillic vampires are supossed to blend in with society justifies that they don't look super old and boney, but how can they blend in with society when they look my great great great grandpa? D. There were no difference in your appearence from right after you feed 'till if you haven't feed once... I mean its only well-feed Order vampires who gets to look ordinary...

i think ima draw what i think werebears would look like in skyrim if theyr in >.> will post link soon

Can't wait.

Eve though werewolves are mine all time favorite werecreatures, werevoltures and weresharks (even though the latter one is probably just a joke) sound pretty cool to me.
And yeah, werecrocodiles are kinda pointless since we already have deathroths (or whatever they are called).
They kinda look like a same creature only differently looked at.

Yeah but for TES Blackmarsh we can't turn into a Daedroth now can we?But werevultures are cool as hell! Those Bosmer got the coolest werecreatures and vampires up there in valenwood, I can't wait for a TES game to feature thaat country... as long as the bosmer get their black eys back!

I belive that werecrocodiles are the argonian equivelent of werewolves.
Werewolves have hair, lizards don't.
Werewolves are warm blooded, argonians are cold, so are crocodiles.
The only major difference between argonians and crocodiles is that argonians can breathe underwater and crocodiles can't.

I think it'd be pretty cool if the lycanthropy disease wasn't the same for every race and changed you into something race specific...

argonian to werecrocodile
nord to werebear
bosmer to wererat

that kind of thing.

I hope not to a degree like argonian would turn into a werecrocodile instead of werewolf cuz of the warm to cold blooded thing but every other race should be able to turn into whatever type is in the game..
Like I HATE werebears yet I normally play a Nord so it wouldnt be fair for my nord to not be able to become a werewolf

It's a Curse/disease. it doesn't have to make sense. But I do agree that whatever werecreature, it needs to be adapted to that are. The werelion is found in some parts of Cyrodiil and Elseweyr. Perfect for Khajiits, because they are felines. Werecrocodiles and Argonians are a perfect mix, especially in Black marsh. Now, werevulters and weresharks sounds ridiculous, even if they are mentioned in a book.

The hole point in lycanthropy is to turn into something you are not already! If I'm playing as a lizard would it by super cool and incredibly fun to turn into another lizard at fullmoon? Nope... and there are no damn wererats in lore! The only werecreatures in Valenwood (Did I not make myself clear enough marking the location on every werecreature/vamp in the poll?) are werevultures *Valenwood* and werewolves *All over tamriel*...
so therefor it only makes sence if you turn into whatever you got bitten by...

If these varying supernatural creatures are in game (and I sooooo hope they are) they NEED QUESTS! When I became a vamp in Oblivion i looked for a day (irl) for any sort of clans or vampire quests in general only to find to cure quest. I was heartbroken.

I don't want werewolf and werebear quests... but the Volkihar would probably have awesome quests!

There were werewolf and wearboar quests in Daggerfall. I think it is necessary to have quests for it to feel complete.

Well the reason it isn't 100% necesary is because it (unlike volkihars should) still allows you to walk around at day....

I'd still prefer there to be playable werewolves even if there aren't any associated quests beyond the cure quest. Of course I'd want there to be quests, but if there aren't, having them playable would make it easier for modders to expand on them. Compare with Oblivion, where they wanted werewolves but didn't have time to fully implement them, it made it much harder to even make werewolf mods because the necessary mechanics didn't exist.

Not to mention, just being a werewolf could be fun in its own right, whether there's quests with it or not. It can still add a bit to your character's story. If it's a choice between 'no werewolves' and 'werewolves with no quests', I'll pick 'werewolves with no quests' anytime.

Meh. Modders and their PC's. But I do agree with you. I would definetly choose werewolves without quests than no werewolves at all. Betheada could add werewolf quest DLC's and such. I wouldn't mind as much. What they should do is add werewolf hunters to chase you around every month! Giving us the nostalgic feeling of the good ol' Daggerfall days( I never played Daggerfall :P)

Really? Never?.. But... but... but its free...
and why every month? I only want to be chased if I'm cut... or (if after you transform back you drop a few werewolf/werebear hairs) if you leave your hairs laying in a town... but then I don't just want a few knights in fancy armor, I want news to spread (depending on my fame (the higher the faster and fouther), and once a society knows I'm a werewolf/werebear they'll meet me with pitchforks and flaming torches, telling me to leave and saying that if I ever come back they'll attack (or (depending on your current local reputation) say they'll send hunters after you if you don't leave right away (also if you ever come back) and maybe the entire mob might directly attack you...)
I've always wanted to get my eyes pitchforked out by an angry mob... (just ingame of course)...

BTW please don't make this a flame-war between pc and console users (just because my pc is better than your damn (and mine to) console)...

I did not intend to start a console/PC flame-war. I can do that in a topic I dislike. I just don't lay PC because I can use a big tv and not use a mouse or confusing keyboards. And yes, the good old Wolfman/werewolf stories with a Cursed/blessed man/women with Lycanthropy being kicked out of town or hunted. It's what most nords would do. In Bloodmoon, they just kicked you out because you were under the "Shadow of the Beast".

My computer screen is larger than my tv... my speakers are of better quality as well... but I gotta admit using keyboard for gaming when used to ps3 controllers is a pain...
but if you get kicked out how would you prefer being able to achive none-hostile acess to the town again?
I would say after completing a series of quests for that town they may allow you to set foot in there (when its not the day with fullmoon a day before or a day after... (and that's for small towns were they live far from the place you got discovered and don't quite trust rumors... never if its a small town closeby the town/the town you were discovered in... after a few days if you have never set foot in there before (they would have a much easier time remembering someone they knew) (for small and medium sized towns (if the town is nearby it would be weeks not days).)... never (for large towns)... never (for the town you were cut in)... after a few weeks if you are quite known and really respected they might allow you to enter and get services if your acompanied by guards. (in really big towns far from where you were cut)...

btw: I still don't understand it... you've never played Daggerfall?.. Why not...

I'm sure that vampirism will be in the game since it's been in the last few of the TES series. I just really hope Lycanthropy is in (I especially like werewolfs, though I guess that's just because they are the most traditional form) - Bloodmoon was my favorite of all Elder Scrolls games. And I mean, Skyrim has a similar environment to Solstheim...

Ha. I had a dream that I was actually in Skyrim with other players and I found a cave where it said I could only enter it at night or use the right entrance. I did and it loaded and I found werebears inside! I fought on(Using controller) and got out screaming to the other first time players "I found werebears! Get me a cure disease potion! I want to find a werewolf!"

Lol....and other weird things like a scroll in a river that told me to open a blue bag hidden under a rock beside it.

Anyways, back on topic. Werebears and werewolves should be in. But each should have a weakness. Werebears weak to Canis Root and stuff.
