Werewolves haven't been confirmed yet. Just hinted as a possibility. Vampires are in for sure; Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion had them. I want the Order to be in Skyrim, they are so badass.

I agree that they haven't been confirmed yet...Hopefully, if not in Skyrim, then we will see them in an expansion pack...And a greater explanation into the history of werewolves and Hircine in Elder Scrolls
mythology...Go team Hircine...

I have to say that I luv all the Werebeast. Heres to the 3/19/11 perigee tribute to Hircine and his children! I know I'm not the only one who partook in the great hunt. The Werebeast to most likely show up in Skyrim, if any, are Werewolves and Werebears. I know that Lore fanatics will disagree with me but I would also like to see Wereboars and Weresharks in Skyrim. Yeah, "Wereboars are only found in HighRock and Hammerfell!". I truly do not see the impossibility of Wereboars being in Skyrim. They are human much of the time and can move if they wanted too and like they care about national borders anyway, being somewhat distant from humanity and civilization. Anyway, if someone does manage to contract two different strains of Sanies Lupinus then I imagine that the Former, that has spread farther, would dominate and overtake the newer one. Then again, we do not know much about the disease, perhaps some strains, like the more common werewolf strain, is more prolific than the others and would eliminate them as it is introduced.

Why? Its which one do you like best...

I can picture it now... a wereboar walking up to skyrims border, then an imperial guards walks up to him and say "Halt! Halt! Show me your passport!" and then "Fine you may move a long."

I don't care if there are Werewolves or Vampires are in the game.
Actually, vampires in themselves were good for ONE thing.
Trading in vampire dust for 250gp for the Order of Virtuous Blood.
That is it, otherwise fighting a Vampire was a major inconvenience.

If they can improve on the Vampire experience, I'd be all for it. Vampirism was fun at first, but eventually a hassle in Oblivion. I wouldn't want them to ditch the idea.

Ok, I guess I never think that thru just because it just seems like why post something like not caring about werewolves and vampires on a topic that has been going on for 9 threads now about loving werewolves and vampires and wanting them in the game :/

Did you even read the rest of my post?
I went on to say vampires were even a inconvenience. I honestly don't see WHY this thread has gone on for 1800+ posts.

The answer to your question is obvious.

Because they are popular. And I don't just mean "popular right now because of Twilight" I mean, for thousands of years people have been terrified and fascinated with the idea of dead people who come back to feed on the life force of the living. Add to that the modern additions of eternal beauty and super powers, it becomes an incredibly appealing theme to address in film, literature, video games, live action role play...

Also applies (to a lesser extent) to werewolves.

Relax. Bethesda won't reveal it until the end though. I never followed Oblivion so I don't know if they confirmed vampires were in Oblivion before it was released. And same for Morrowind. I think in some previews or interviews, if someone is smart enough to aks about werewolves, Bethesda just might say if they are in or not. We don't know if werewolves are in because Todd Howard wasn't quite sure if they were going to make it final in the game. They are playing around and testing it, but before a confirmation is ready, they will want to be sure.

Same goes for the Radiant story. It's something they avoid speaking of much because they want to be sure it's in the game after the radiant A.I failed in the last game(And consider the hype for it was pretty big).

Ya I did and what you said proves the point as to why in a way this thread has gone on for so long and what the person below me has stated and my username kinda gives away my fan-tism about the subject with werewolves.

Yes, I wish werewolves got more spot light XD

I think it would be a really cool idea to have Werebeasts and Vampires as playable characters in Skyrim. It would totally bring some diversity into the video game world.

Begin!

I don't see why many people make threads for a game that hasn't been released yet. Seriously, it's a virtual game in a disc. Why do people act this way? Because people like it. Nuff said.

I'm going to say your interest in anime and werewolves and vampires are connected.
I hate anime so that might play a roll in it.
Either way, it would be interesting to see a werewolf or a vampire in Skyrim, I will admit. but I do not feel it be necessary.

I would say so

Connected? What do you mean?
And even if my love for anime, werewolves and vampires does what does that matter? Are you saying that you were being like this because I happen to enjoy something you hate?O__O Or am I reading between the lines?

Given Skyrim's nordic climes and the fact that the last nordic-based elder scrolls game was the Bloodmoon expansion pack for Morrowind. I think that this, as well as the disappointment of many of their fans when Oblivion came out, justifies a very serious look at and return of werewolves into Skyrim. And, if not in the release of the main game, then in an expansion pack. Bethesda has produced some of the best and most innovative award-winning games ever seen. I want them to bring back the werewolf because only they can really do it right...

Eh, I suppose.
I can admit defeat in a argument.
Back to my original statement.
I don't want Vampires back. Maybe werewolves.

I mean you like very far fetched mythical things.
Anime and Vampries and Werewolves are VERY far fetched. I'm sorry, but I'm fighting the urge to totally flame you. Sorry If I'm not making... [censored] sense..

This is not going to be a great first post of mine but ahh well. Isn't God very far fetched too though? Back to topic. I would love vampire because I do love vampires compared to werewolves. If they put both in the game I would play as both on 2 different saves. I really do they keep vampires in because I have never played oblivion normally. I am always a vampire. I really hope they put both in and factions.
