Because every time I make an argument about the TES series getting simpler and more linear with every new installment someone reminds me that the series really did need to be less complex so the wider audience could get it.

In TES:VI the game will freeze and a window will prompt up if you're fighting a vampire and you get the disease from it, the window will say "Would you like to contract the disease to become a Vampire ?" and our choices will be "Yes" and "No".

Anyway, here is some help in the link below.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampirism#Cure_for_Vampirism

Actually, I'm sure they'll just have a Sesame Street-esque interactive video come up and explain things very simply. No big words like "contract" and "disease". I'm fairly sure it will be a pro-vampirism message, though, as it will be The Count giving it.

I wear a 100% Resist Disease pendant. I don't plan on being a vampire till Unholy Darkness for Skyrim comes out. :)

One of the worst things Bethesda games concieved is the notion of everyone in the world except you being of a single hive-mind.
It's like everyone knows you're a vampire, everyone knows you killed someone in some obscure cabin in the woods, and everyone knows you stole that plate, you criminal scum.

Funny. They always seem to know when you've done something bad, but when you do something good? No one cares. When you're the head of a guild? No one cares.

Turn into a werewolf right in front of a guard that asks if you're alright, and assassinate the city of Riften?

No one cares. Not even the people who managed to survive.

How is it even possible to not realize one was about to turn into a vampire? Sorry if this isn't helpful, but TC, it's your own fault and no one else's.

- fighting vampires, attention to caught diseases would be at 110% anyways
- it tells you you caught the disease in the upper left corner
- it is being shown like any other disease in the magic menu
- there are other signs to warn you
- not sure about this, but NPCs comment on caught diseases, right?
- once you are a vampire despite all the warnings, it shouldn't be too tough to get rid of it asap; if I was turned into a vampire but wouldn't want to, removing that status would be my number one priority instead of questing around

I'll use this thread for this question.

How can you cure Vampirism. After it really settled. Is there a quest to cure it like in oblivion or are you stuck as a vampire forever?

NPC's will ask you if you are feeling sick when you contact disease. If thats not clue enough you begin taking damage from sunlight. Carry a potion else rush to a shrine. Curing a disease is not a big fuss contrarily to Lycanthropy. Yes, I wish the game gave a more heads up about it but like i said not a big issue.

So you can cure Vampirism with a potion even after the 3-5 days has gone?

Heretic! You're coming with me, Northwatch keep will be your new home from now on....

But geez another thread about this? I think we have thirty threads already. Search function, yup it's there. I always check my active effects after a battle anyway in case I missed the message in he upper left corner.

UESPWiki
Cure for Vampirism

Visit any inn and ask the innkeeper if they have heard any rumors. They will tell you that a wizard in Morthal named Falion studies vampires. Travel to Morthal and meet with him. He will ask you to bring him a Black Soul Gem (you can buy one from him for around 250 septims in conversation or around 900 septims from his store). To fill the black soul gem you must cast Soul Trap or use a weapon enchanted with soul trap on an NPC (man, mer, beast race, etc...) and then kill them to get their soul. Once filled, take it to Falion and he will instruct you to meet him at a summoning circle just outside of town at dawn (at around 5am). Once there, he will perform a short ceremony and your vampirism will be cured. Note that you must not be at stage 4 vampirism, otherwise Falion will refuse to perform the ritual.

You can also cure your Vampirism by becoming a werewolf within the Companions faction. However, once you contract Lycanthropy you gain a 100% resistance to disease and cannot be re-infected with Sanguinare Vampiris.

Or, if you've just contracted the disease and are looking for the easy route out; visit a shrine of one of the nine divines (Dibella, Talos, etc.) and receive their blessing. It cures all diseases and curses on the spot and you no longer have to worry about Vampirism.

I havent personally experienced stages 3 or 4. Even if shrines and potions dont work for stages 3 and 4, you only need to feed once to go back to stage 1.

You could check to see if you've contracted it after battling vampires. See a vampire? Check you active effects, it's really not that hard to avoid in my experiences.

It's not like you even need to check your active effects.

I got an infection off them the other day and it went un-noticed. But the next morning the screen flashed red and a message in the corner of the screen came up "you feel weaker as the sun rises". Which prompted an oh-shi moments and a check of the active effects... but nope, it hadn't progressed to vamprism so i just chugged a cure potion

wow you're lazy. Just feed on someone, bam, nobody will want to attack you anymore. Just do this everyone once in a while and you will be fine.

All I can really say is "Lawl". The glowing red screen wasn't an indication enough for you that something was wrong? You should view the quests to remove the disease as extra fun, as well...an added bonus in the game, more to do. Why'd you pick up a game like Skyrim if you were going to ragequit after one little mess up...on your part?

Some of you are so rude. The guy is frustrated with a problem and instead of helping, you ridicule.

He made it pretty clear he wasn't asking for help, he's done with the game. Good riddance, we don't need another easily complaining person.
