Yay!

But I would much rather have werewolves than Oblivion vampires, maybe Bethesda will improve them..?

So, after Oblivion, do you guys think there will be different vampire clans? Pete Hines said there will be different creature variants, but it could mean "Vampire Patriarch" and such like Oblivion.

Morrowind has three warring vampire clans: Quarra, Berne and Aundae. They all hated each other.

Illiac Bay(Daggerfall) had nine clans, some had tenuous alignments with each other while they duked it out with other clans.

Cyrodiil had one clan. Gameplay wise, there were fodder to kill. Lore-wise, they were indidividuals posing as humans, usually in the upper echelon of society as either nobles or politicians. And they work with deceit and manipulation, as their tenet says. They are extremely competitive and their existence precedes their arrival or control of Cyrodiil.

Skyrim has the Volkihar of Eastern Skyrim. Western Skyrim vampires is speculated.

If these new vampires are Volkihar, then why are they using fireball spells? They're suppose to have icy breath, pull victims under frozen lakes. I see more potential for arctic features than fire. Hmm. Hopefully, these aren't generic Cyrodillic vampires.

I wonder if there are 2 types of vampires that you can be. The volkihar which are shunned by everyone except kinsmen, or Cyrodiil vampires that allow you to be recognized not as a monster but as a normal person. And I wonder if you can be both werebears and werewolves, since Skyrim is also known for its werebears.

I'd qualify Volkihar as the Stealth vampires because they pull unsuspecting victims through ice and stuff like that, so we pretty much need a Magic vampire clan.(Witch vampires? :shocking: ) and a combat Vampire clan.

That would be so awesome. I think I just fell in love with my Witch Vampire clan idea.

Sweet. I always RPed a fire-wielding Cyrodilic vampire in fanfics and RPs. But the fact that they are in caves and not in a mansion somewhere means that they are regular enemies to be slain.

Seriously, I don't know why people thought they wouldn't be in. Do you guys know the [censored]ing storm Betheseda would get if they didn't have vampires, or the ability to become one? Not to mention, they've been in every TES game since Daggerfall.

I mean, it's werewolves I doubt are in the vanilla version.

No. Vampires should hate vampires. Werewolves should just be...werewolves? And I like your avatar, if werewolves are in, my character might look like that preset.

Yeah. They never venture into the world except to feed on people. And they are paranoid and cruel.

But I hope for Lamae Beolfag to make an apperance. She's the first vampire, damn it. Skyrim is the birthplace of terrors and screams.

"Savage and loveless, Bal profaned her body, and her screams became the Shrieking Winds, which still haunt certain winding fjords of Skyrim" Opusculus Lamae Bal ta Mezzamortie

"Ever proud and boastful, Oblivion's Mad Prince stood one fifth day of mid year among the frigid peaks of Skyrim, and beckoned forth Hircine for parlay. Livid, but beaten, Hircine burned the ragged corpse and withdrew to his realm, swearing in forgotten tongues. His curses still hang in those peaks, and no wayfarer tarries for fear of his wrathful aspect in those obscured heights."Accounts of Madness, Hircine vs Sheogorath.

Mother of vampires and father of werewolves. Both screams and foul language still linger in Skyrim. LMAO.

Wasn't vampires mentioned in an article a long time ago? (playstation magazine or something)

In the end that doesn't really matter does it?

I just hope vampires will be powerful this time.

Lol, then it would be awesome if depending if you had become a vampire or werewolf, you fought in a battle between them. That would be EPIC! :celebration:

Calm down children. This in no way confirms players will be able to become vampires.

Hmm...interesting...never heard of Lamae Beolfag. Be cool if she was in. Be even cooler if you could marry her once you became a vampire.

We could become vampires in Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion. Chances are, we can become vampires in Skyrim. And anynone else think vampires actually turn to dust now? In previous games, we killed them and vampire dust showed up in their inventory. And in an ingame book, one vampire watched his vampire friends turn to dust as they were stabbed to death by silver weapons. It would be a nice addition, considering necromancer's dead allies turn to dust when you kill a necromancer(Confirmed somewhere). Dragons turn to bones....what is a vampire turning to dust? The interview has a hint, maybe?

"I came upon another door and as it opened to a much warmer mountain interior and I noticed a glowing pile of dust at my feet. In the pile lay a pair of worn leather boots and a sword. "

Again ill post this.

Vampires being in was obvious, I doubt anyone thought otherwise. The real question is if you can become a vampire yourself which is still unknown.

I never said it didn't hint at it, however I tend to air on the side of caution.
