Vampires Seduction - Don't have it?

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 12:47 am

My journal says to use the skill vampires seduction on Dexion Evicus. I've not got this skill. I had a look on the wiki and it says if I don't have this skill I'll be temporarily given it for this quest, then it will be removed. But it's not on my magic list, nor on my quickset list when I'm in vampire form. Where should I find it? It's driving me mad.

Wouldn't be in vampire form and it'd be under powers I'm sure.

Are you on PC? If so you can add it via console commands.

I figured this would be the issue but it was said he would temporarily be given the power for the quest specifically, assuming that was accurate.

Well, take it anyways.

We all use to be new before. I received facepalms all the time. Someday, you will facepalm a newbie as well ;)

I never have xD

Probably never will either. The emote doesn't seem to fit me too well.

Unless someone not asking for help, but making a very dumb statement without understanding what they're saying happens. Then I'd feel like bashing my face onto a wall like this :wallbash:

Closest I've gotten to that was someone saying they can't find a job because of their ethnicity and talking about how everyone hates them when all they did was check the CVS across the street from them which wasn't hiring. I really just wanted to bash my head into a wall lol. They said a lot more than that about other things that weren't helping their case, but I'll evade it as it'd stray too much from the topic. What I just said wasn't word for word, won't take too much thinking to get what I meant.

Guess this will continue if after waiting a few days in game there's still no vampire seduction right?
I had an issue before where I wouldn't get all my vampire powers for some reason. But sometimes turning to and from vampire lord would fix it. Being on PC, after a while if that wouldn't fix it I'd just console the spell in... lol

Lol. I know exactly what the OP's problem is because I just experienced the same thing tonight.

When I defeated the enthralled Dexion Evicus I was in Vampire Lord form. The game told me I had received the power, but I had not, even after transforming back to normal. You have to finish him off while in your normal form or else the game won't give you the power. Otherwise, you'll just have to get the power through the standard means (waiting).

Well...I'm hardly a newbie. I've been here about 4 years longer than you?

And no, if someone asks a stupid question, I don't answer. If they ask a fairly reasonable question I tend to just answer them without making any sort of comment. Just seems like the decent thing to do...

But thanks to everyone who's mentioned they've had the same issue. I ended up just consoling it to the next stage of the quest since, if it is a bug, it means you can't progress. Grr...

Newbie game-wise. Plus, I am patriarch :P. All kidding aside, I don't believe in "decent" comments. But from your point of view, this may be different.

Glad we can be of assistance, though.

I have more posts than you and never facepalmed anyone. Weird that you feel inclined to mention your number of posts. It's something you'll always lose with.

It's a joke, hence the smiley face. If you can't take a joke - -

In any case, I was kidding around. The OP answered, and I replied with him saying I was kidding. People jab each other here in the forums regularly, sad to say. Weird is a point of view, anyways.

But as to answer to OP, you gain more vampiric power should you forgo feeding on people. It's the backwards feeding that's been in the series since Oblivion.

Pretty weird joke, using a facepalm smiley and when people comment on how unnecessary that is, to refer to forum status in terms of amount of posts and to presuppose that everyone follows your posting 'etiquette' eventually. Emz's a she, by the way.

So am I, and so are several others in this thread, but that doesn't mean we're entitled to have bad manners. The question was perfectly legitimate, the arrogant way of answering was uncalled for.

Yeah, is it worth going out of topic now? She had a question, we provided an answer. Simple. Arrogance and "weird" is a matter of perspective, anyway. I guess we can let it die. Here. Now. It's completely derailing the thread.

I'm fine with that, as long as you understand the points both Stormrider and myself are trying to impart on you.
