Vampires should not look like a Raisin

Post » Mon Sep 05, 2011 12:03 pm

That is one aspect I hated about Obilvion Vampire when you became one. You look very old and weak. Just give us pale skin and blood red eyes, along with a increased in speed, jumping and strength.

It was pretty bad, they should just have the skin and eyes change, but only the skin color, not the skin texture. The skin texture in oblivion made female characters look like old men >.<

There has to be something to discern a Vampire from a normal civilian. The pale skin and eyes don't cut it either. In my opinion Bethesda should do a bit more to make the vamps look different than just aging the skin ton/look.

I thought that the Oblivion change was awesome! It actually made me feel like my character was undead, not just some pansy sparkle-boy...

Give vamps capes and slick black hair. That'll distinguish them.

Anyone else find oblivion vamps kinda boring and irritating to play? Only time I ever encountered them was the Azura's Star quest and a couple of times for money farming items

If anything, they should look younger than they should.

Getting your blood drained by a psychotic raisin would be pretty cool

Didn't Vincent of the DB say you wouldn't have to worry about being a reviled monster for hundreds of years?

I hope that vampires in the game look spooky. They should also have vampires in cities that actually feed on people, and you might run into one while your performing a midnight burglary.

Maybe like go the opposite direction and have Buffy-style vampires, demonic and gnarled but only when in combat or something. Capable of switching back and forth.

Whatever it is im sure its already implemented by now though.

How have the vampires been described by people who fought them at PAX and such?

I think the Oblivion vampires had more than a wrinkled look, it was more than just their skin... It was like the shape of the facial bone-structure changed. http://images.uesp.net/3/33/OB-npc-Vicente_Valtieri.jpg had very gaunt cheeks, but his cheekbones were high, and his mouth seemed to protrude a bit...
http://images.uesp.net/d/d6/OB-npc-Janus_Hassildor.jpg of Skingrad also seemed a bit different in the bone structure, but not as much as Vicente.
Then you have http://images.uesp.net/7/79/OB-npc-Vampire_Acrobat_Female.jpg http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OB-npc-Vampire_Acrobat_Male.jpg http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OB-npc-Vampire_Witchhunter.jpg, whose faces seemed to be structurally different...

But hopefully vampires in Skyrim will be a bit different... Well, lots different. We'll see.

there should definitely be a noticable difference between normal person and a vampire and they shouldnt be "pretty" for [censored]s sake this isnt twighlight and i dont want ANY aspect of twighlight vampires in this game. im not some preteen adolescent girl. i want vampires to be seriously taken and deadly and frightening.

oblivion had the look of vampires right they just messed up the powers. you actually go stronger the longer you went without blood. WTF

Well I am Very Sure, the Count was Well Fed, along the lines of, "It's Good To Be The Count".. lol

So I think there should be very few clues if you are a Well Fed Vampire.

And God's Blood!

Please have Feeding Making You Stronger and Not Weaker!

To me and I played one all the time in TESIV:Oblivion, this mod, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2829, was the best one out there by far.

I hope that it is used as a model and starting point for Vampires in TESV:Skyrim.

I loved the way Oblivions vampires were. They had red-pink eyes, K9 teeth, and greenish - pale wrinked skin. The stronger your vampire got the more ugly he got. Oh and higher cheek bones.

Vampires should be more like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btRVNAvGCBQ&feature=related

Slightly off-topic but if werewolves are confirmed to be in the game at some point in the future, will the effects be constant- day & night, or will there be some sort of transformation under the moon.? :D

Where does it say that vampires have to look young? In my limited knowledge of vampire history/culture, the Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise sixy young vampire look is a modern invention. In the beginning vampires were considered an evil entity; then a seducer and now, a six symbol.

Of course they should look like a raisin, a raisin to run away as fast as you can, quiet possibly even off into the desserts of Elsweyr!

They need to avoid vampirism becoming just another power up. So it needs some kind of downside. Whether thats not being able to do a number of normal quests, or looking uglier the more powerful you get, I dont mind. Ultimately its a disease in TES.

Yes indeed they did, just like this guy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcyzubFvBsA, which is actually a pretty cool movie if you have not seen it.

Now That Guy Is Creepy!!

But that being said, I wouldn't mind a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVPxAgy7lBA, he was able to go among the living pretty well, and he was most definitely Not a "sixy young vampire".

He is Old School Scary, a Ruthless Killer and Not Creepy like his predecessor, Nosferatu.

But to me Both are really cool, and I even like the Anne Rice ones as well, but the Twilight and other ones that are out now are pushing the limits, and I think going a bit to far for sure, for me anyways. lol

Vampires have been seductive since Bram Stoker's Dracula! It's not a modern adaption! Neither Twilight nor Interview with a Vampire are creative enough to invent such a perfect killer. They just f*ed with the idea and made it stupid. Look at the three vampire sisters... they were super hot, and then they f*ing ate a child.. And how Lucy appeared beautiful before she went into "attack mode." I think Skyrim's vamps should be like the old fashioned kind. Meaning they first appear beautiful and seductive, and then turn into horrific, ferocious monsters just before they tear you to pieces.
