Werewolves are only werewolves during a full moon, which happens for a week every month. In other words, Werewolves are ****ed for 3 weeks of every month.

looking forward to a joinable faction with multiple ranks and quests. I will most definitely be a vampire in this case.

The "weak to magic" bit sounds like a bit of an ass-pull. I only recall them being (very) weak to silver.

Exactly .

I only want vampires in Skyrim, if they are accurate to the lore I have quoted below:

"Cyrodiil

Only one known tribe exists in Cyrodiil; they are experts of concealment, their true name lost in history. Much like the Imperials, they ousted their competition. Indistinguishable from the living if well-fed, these Cyrodiilic Vampires are cultured and more civilized than vampires of other provinces, using their stealthy abilities to feed on the sleeping and unaware. Calling themselves the Order, they have made Cyrodiil their home as of the Third Era, and in accordance with their strict tenets, these vampires follow the Daedric Princes Molag Bal and Clavicus Vile.[15]"

"Skyrim

The Volkihar vampires of eastern Skyrim live under haunted, frozen lakes and only leave their dens to feed. They have the power to freeze their victims with icy breath, and can reach through the ice of their frozen lake dens without breaking the ice."

Whereas the vampires in Cyrodiil were relatively good looking, it sounds like the Skyrim vampires are evil, nasty mean mother f***ers. They sound much more savage and less attractive looking. I suppose if they depicted them as these savage, ugly monsters that lived in the wild and had the special abilities listed above, that I would not mind playing one.

I am just sick of seeing beautiful sparkly Twilight style vampires. It's annoying. 30 Days of Night is where the awesome vampires are.

Yup this is where i got it

I have played vampire characters in every games since Daggerfall. Honestly though, the Skyrim lore-friendly vamps probably are going to be horrendous monstrous types. As much as I love playing a vamp character, I don't want it to break the lore. Walking around as a horrendous fiend with ice-covered skin who lives in frozen lakes is also not going to feel right if the NPCs don't all run and hide at my approach.

I want lore-friendly vampires and werewolves. I am used to seeing them in other TES games, will be glad to beat their asses here as well.

I PERSONALLY don't care for long involved vampire (or werewolf) quest lines or factions, but I respect that other people might enjoy them. Being a Bosmer or Redguard or Dunmer is enough coolness for me.

To me, these guys are monsters to fight.

In related news, Vampire: Bloodlines is on sale on Steam for $5 this weekend only. One of my favorite first-person RPGs ever, and I don't even like vampires. Go buy it while you are waiting for Skyrim.

Hell yeah. I just want to rip some pathetic humans apart as a werewolf or drain them dry as a vampire!

Vampires should be like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRelVRtGawM

Have to say though I would prefer Werewolves. They have more benefits.

I always wanted vampires in the game to be portrayed more like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjICyqYX5G8

The fact that it is many distinct breeds or clans of vampires in ES lore makes me hope for a questline involving one of the clans in Skyrim(hopefully the Volkihar) so we could learn more about them. I felt like the vampires of Cyrodiil was a bit too... feral comparred to how they were described. The quest-related vampires was more iterresting though.
