More and more vampire threads. Too. Many.
OT: I want vampires to be very powerful to face. Very difficult to kill.

I want to become a vampire after find the cure. I want more perks other than some generic spells that I could create as a mage anyways. I want to look like a badass vampire. Hopefully illusion spells will be magnified greatly with some intense mind control abilities.

I'd be nice if they would revamp the whole vampirism and actually put it to some use, give us some quests, maybe even give back vampire factions like in morrowind

This.

There's a lot more options for vampires to become more indepth, both in ability and story wise.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Immortal_Blood

He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim. I told him about the most powerful tribe, the Volkihar, paranoid and cruel, whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins. I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes, never venturing into the world of men except to feed.

Several things here.

By very definition, the most powerful tribe means there must be more than one.

whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins

Very cool powers.

I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes

It would take a long quest to join them

I hope they don't force a stupid long quest on you if you don't want to become a vampire like they did in oblivion.

I already made a trhead about Vampires, and imo I'd rather have werewolves as they were skipped in Oblivion while Vampires remained (And I'm talking Organic tanks that could tear a guy in half not the pansies from Twilight that were just dudes who could turn into wolves) but everyone has their tastes.

Vampires should be like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRelVRtGawM

Have to say though I would prefer Werewolves. They have more benefits.

I would prefer if there were no vampires in Skyrim, but if so then I won't mind hunting a nest or two. :D

I read some stuff up on the Skryim vampires They are called Volkihar And like to paralyze there victims by freezing them plus there lairs are incased in Ice . So me thinks fire spell works well in this case .
here is the Sentence .
The Volkihar vampires of eastern Skyrim live under haunted, frozen lakes and only leave their dens to feed. They have the power to freeze their victims with icy breath, and can reach through the ice of their frozen lake dens without breaking the ice.

Vampires
~Bit Tougher
~Can drink blood to empower themselves
~Can move a bit quicker.

~If they go in sunlight they die
~If they don't drink blood for a set amount of time they die
~They age quickly.

Werewolves
~INCREDIBLY Strong (Well the Werewolves I know are, and I'm talking run through a brick wall and tear a house down strong)
~Resistant to common weapons
~Can run on all fours faster than a Horse. (Ultimate predator)
~Heal themselves much quicker over time.
~Bottomless stamina.

~Only transform at full moon.
~Weak to magic and enchanted weapons.

I rest my case. B)

(I mean really...Dying just by walking outside during the day is kind of a big flaw.)

Okay Question How will A werewolf Win against a Dragon since a dragon uses All forms of magic in its attacks . if a werewolf is weak to magic he will Surely fail to get close enough to a dragon while it does bombing runs at it And spewing magical fire at it trough there language . how do claws reach a dragon in flight .

The "weak to magic" bit sounds like a bit of an ass-pull. I only recall them being (very) weak to silver.

I want to see the Volkihar...that's about it. Perhaps a story of war between the Volkihar tribe and the Dire Werewolf pack.

Let it be known, that it is ONLY the Cyrodiilic clan that can look normal, thanks to a pact they made with Clavicus Vile. All other vampires are fugly and/or nightmarish 24/7.

And no underworld crap, please.

I only want vampires in Skyrim, if they are accurate to the lore I have quoted below:

"Cyrodiil

Only one known tribe exists in Cyrodiil; they are experts of concealment, their true name lost in history. Much like the Imperials, they ousted their competition. Indistinguishable from the living if well-fed, these Cyrodiilic Vampires are cultured and more civilized than vampires of other provinces, using their stealthy abilities to feed on the sleeping and unaware. Calling themselves the Order, they have made Cyrodiil their home as of the Third Era, and in accordance with their strict tenets, these vampires follow the Daedric Princes Molag Bal and Clavicus Vile.[15]"

"Skyrim

The Volkihar vampires of eastern Skyrim live under haunted, frozen lakes and only leave their dens to feed. They have the power to freeze their victims with icy breath, and can reach through the ice of their frozen lake dens without breaking the ice."

Whereas the vampires in Cyrodiil were relatively good looking, it sounds like the Skyrim vampires are evil, nasty mean mother f***ers. They sound much more savage and less attractive looking. I suppose if they depicted them as these savage, ugly monsters that lived in the wild and had the special abilities listed above, that I would not mind playing one.

I am just sick of seeing beautiful sparkly Twilight style vampires. It's annoying. 30 Days of Night is where the awesome vampires are.

I agree! Viktor rocks! But then again, lore-firendly, as someone else mentioned, is more important.

Werewolfs have more benefits? Like the "two-walks-every-day perk"? Or "leg-humping-drewl-in-crouch major skill"? Bah! Dogs! :flame:

Werewolves do not get as many benefits as vampires. Where as vampire benefits are permanent, werewolf benefits only last during the period of transformation - but then you must spend your time feeding or die.
