Vampires !

This is a pretty polarizing topic...

Some people are adamant about not having them, some people (myself included) think vampires add a nice touch to any story.

So, Vampires...

Yes or No?

You're in the Friggin' wasteland....Closest thing you get to fantasy here is the Deathclaws that look like Demons and the magical place of sparkly trees and love, Known as Oasis......

~Besides shooting someone in the head, but because my Firearms skill was kinda bad, they only take some damage and still come after me, forcing me to bust out the severed arm weapon, it wasn't a bad game.
--I'm still down for a post-apocalyptic "Children of the night", as long as it veers very ver very far away from that Twilight nonsense.

Maybe that can be an ingame easter egg...like the Necronomicon you had to destroy, you have to destroy the twilight books in this game...But wai!!!
They don't have twilight in there universe...

Man...the Apocolypse keeps looking better and better....

I really don't think vampires, or trolls, or werewolves, or witches, or any other fantasy animal belong in Fallout....

I would argue that they aren't necessarily "Fantasy" tropes...Not to mention Witchcraft, or Wiccan, is an actual Belief System (as my Wiccan friend likes to remind my Catholic rear).
No, indeed, they are more "Horror" Tropes.
Well, except maybe Trolls. But they go under bridges. And eat Goats.
But Vampires go back into our actual History~ They aren't fantasy, they are genuine Historic Folklore.
As for people who say they "Don't fit in", I dare say, anything can be made to fit into a genre if made to serve the Genre.

It's widely acknowledged that vampires were exterminated in the middle ages. Not out of fear but loathing. Byronesque blood-junkies looking for emo cuddles 'cause they're so misunderstood? Fetch the stake.

I'm not talking about the Interview with the Vampire model, I'm talking Vampires purely as this evil creature that stalks the night, that feasts upon the blood of the unwary. I would have no problem with Obsidian digging up some creature to add as an encounter where you face off against this inhuman night-dwelling monstrosity looking to take a chomp out of the Courier and his/her followers.

I envision something akin to a tall, thin figure, almost gaunt, perhaps irradiated in such a way that as it moves through the night, the only things it's victims see's are it's luminescent glowing green eyes, with claws outstretched to overpower, and sharp fangs to pierce and shred...
