Vampires!?!?!?

Post » Sat Jun 26, 2010 8:30 am

Are there any in New Vegas?
I'm asking this because I am a fan of Bethesda's tradition to put Vamps in they're games.
Even if it is just a small reference to them, like in fallout 3.

Why the hell are you mentioning Twilight!?
Can we please NOT mention that s***.

Why not, Fallout 3 had them.

EDIT:
It's not repeating Fallout 3, since fallout 3 didn't start it.

Actually, it is, considering that Fallout 3 was the only game of the series where they appeared (and even then, they were more cannibals than vampires).
While we don't know for sure I'd say that it's pretty difficult we'll see vampires in the game.

And that's for the best, if you ask me...

Yes, but the only reason they appeared is because Bethesda were making the game. I know that the original developer's(Obsidian) are now making the game, but Bethesda is still they're publisher and Obsidian is using they're tech.

And they are certainly NOT cannibals, don't you remember the Laws.
I also hope that cannibal perk will make a return, that was awesome!!

Anyway, I hope the Dev's answer my question, since we all are just speculating.
But no mater what, can't wait for Vegas!!

Those guys in Fallout 3 were not vampires. Only low self-steem humans who got brainwashed by the cult leader that they must live like vampires. I mean, they didn't have fangs and burned at sunlight. :P

In a wasteland, it'd be common to see similar cults where gurus convince people to join their cult, however weird the cult is. Like the Church of Atom.
Get some charisma and speech skills, and you'll be able to form any kind of cult and get weak individuals in it, just like many of today's sects and cults.

This said, the guys who think that acting like vampires have already been done. It'd be nice to see another group of people believing in false things, thinking they have divine powers or are the Chosen One or something.

They're still cannibals who decided to act like vampires.. for some reason.
Nothing more than that.

There is some mystery about why the "vampires" in Fallout 3 crave human flesh. It is sort of like the Super Mutants, until you uncover what happened with the Forced Evolutionary Virus. So there is a new element, at least on the east coast, if not a small sect. You do not see roving vampires all around the Wasteland in Fallout 3. What is very likely is that due to generations of either malnutrition or due to chronic exposure to radiation, they have, in a sense, become somewhat a bit vampires. They are not ghouls but want to eat people. Weird.

There's nothing wrong with vampiric mutants. The Bloodsvckers from STALKER are pretty cool, even though they are based on Illithids, which are based on Cthulhu.

Vampires don't fit into Fallout, the Vance thing with Arefu was just an insane man drinking blood from dead bodies and getting little nutrients. It worked in Oblivion because it is a fantasy game, this is science fiction where [censored] has to make at least minimal sense and vampires don't make any. Besides, vampires just svck.

Well if not a vampires, then i would atleast wat a werewolfs. Thats would be reasonable. Everyone gets opinion, people who dont like vampires wont get vampires, but those who want some "fantasy" creatures, they would then atleast get a werewolfs. :)
